Facilities are clean and the room is nice. Receptionists and service team are friendly. As it is close to Grand Canyon South Rim, Red Feather Lodge is a good place if you would like to stay in Grand Canyon atmosphere all the time while you enjoy the breathtaking views and beautiful nature of Grand Canyon South Rim. It takes 10 minutes by car and a short walk to the South Rim Mather Point from the hotel. After hiking on trails and walking long distances around Grand Canyon National Park, Red Feather Lodge offers comfort such as outdoor pool and hot tub, coffee and tea, and very comfortable beds.

The room was conveniently located next to stores and restaurants. Short drive to the entrance of the south entrance of the Grand Canyon. Our room was in the motel, which seemed an older property, and the rooms were pretty compact. The staff was helpful and friendly.

This is one of those places where owners don't have any incentive or competition to improve but still charge a high fee due to its vicinity to Grand Canyon. No elevators, no breakfast offered, the motel rooms are old, showers don't have glass door to avoid water spill, a shared microwave only on the ground floor. Restaurant has very few good vegan or alternate dietary options and the cooking is average (we tried a shrimp dish). If you can overlook all these, you will be fine. Our interactions with the staff was courteous, no issue there. Another nice thing is that the place provides free coffee & hot chocolate to grab throughout the day, super helpful when you are getting out early in the morning and returning in the evening.

This town is a few minutes from the Grand Canyon entrance, therefore everything here is expensive; but we found a reasonable rate for Red Feather Lodge on Expedia. Check-in was fast and pleasant, and the lobby was very pretty. Our room was a long way from the lobby, so luggage carts were a big help. The only walkable restaurants are McDonalds across the street (very expensive) and Plaza Bonito. Others are a short drive. We ate in our room (food we brought with us). We could see the pool, and families were enjoying it. We had a little trouble maintaining the temperature we like in our room, but overall the room was fine with comfortable beds. Coffee was available very early in the lobby, which I appreciated. It's not posh, but the location, staff, room, amenities, and cleanliness suited us. We would stay here again.

The reception staff was on point. No doubt based on experience but they answered my questions before I thought to ask them. Immediately providing a map of the park and multiple food recommendations upon check in. We checked in, went to the park to see the sunset over the canyon, then came back to eat and sleep. The up early, checked out and got back to the park before the crowds. We stayed in the motel part of the lodge and while we had to lug our bags up the stairs, it was quiet and comfortable.
