Great place! Would definitely go again. Overall, could do with a deeper clean in the room, but the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice, enjoyed having a bath! Wish I'd known in advance there was no lift though, as it was a struggle with such a large suitcase lol.

Nightmare at Bowden

The rooms allocated were on the top floor. There is no lift and we are both in our 70s and disabled. The staff changed the rooms, but one was over the kitchen, and the other next to what appeared to be a 747 jet testing area. I had to ask to be moved again in the middle of the night.

All the staff were so professional and warm welcoming, everyone from the receptionist's, to the bar staff, cleaners and breakfast attendants. The hotel could do with a bit off a renovation for better bathroom facilities

Had a very nice stay with friends in this hotel on a B&B basis. The hotel was a good nightly rate and close to Gloucester so was a good choice for us. The property was clean and welcoming but looked a little tired around the edges and in need of a little updating, although it was nice and clean and the staff friendly. Our room was comfortable with clean and fresh linen, the bathroom also clean with fresh towels. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice which was on a buffet style. Very nice bread for toast and eggs could be prepared by request if you wanted them different from the fried supplied on the full English buffet bar. The staff at breakfast time were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them and you were always welcomed to the breakfast room with a friendly smile. I would happily stay at this hotel again if I was visiting the area.
