Nice hotel and facilities with limited staff.
Busy new build hotel. Clean and functional Not a fan of self check in on iPads. If staff do show face you are fighting with the iPads in your way on the counter during check in. More customers than staff to deal with them. The business is getting run lean on staff for profit IMO. Resturant is pub food that is good enough but is costly for what you get. Again not enough staff to deal with customers. Customers seating themself and sharing menus between tables as no one is there to keep order and explain what to do. Then staff asking people to move table as seated at breakfast tables. Customer’s rightly pointing out that no other tables are available as the empty ones are not cleaned or set from previous customers. Staff are fire fighting constantly trying to manage the situation. I never used the pool or gym but is available. There appears to be a lot of non hotel residents using these facilities again taking the time of limited staff members. The hotel looks good with nice facilities if only there was skilled people to coordinate the service and keep the younger members of the team focused. Again at breakfast it felt like the few staff members were unable to deal with the work load. Breakfast food did not arrive when finished and lacked a leading person to keep order during my 30mins. Room is functional and clean with location perfect for my needs. Could be easily improved with a few key staff managing the limited team.
