Lovely

We moved rooms twice before we had all services Pleasant enough room, bath lovely but missed a head rest, bath sheet supplied was lovely as well Pool was cold but ok except for swimming lessons expanding into main pool area, towels were tiny, only big enough for hair, there was no hair conditioner in any of the rooms or changing facilities. Basic bar menu, breakfast was well cooked and plentiful

Lovely hotel, just a few niggles

Really friendly hotel, with everything we needed. Great room, breakfast, facilities. Just a few notes. When we checked in we weren't asked if we'd like to forego housekeeping, in return for a drinks voucher. We did ask housekeeping not to visit our room, and hung our hanger out. On the last night we heard about the voucher and asked at reception, and were told first we couldn't have one, then we could but only as a special favour. Why? It was your mistake. Second, according to customs and excise sherry is served in 50ml or 70ml measures, or multiples. Trying to sell me it as 25ml, like a spirit, is illegal, regardless of what the till says: that should be fixed. Third, the pool is only open for 4 hours a day, as such it would be nice if 1/3 or more of it wasn't devoted to swimming lessons, and if children's behaviour was better managed.

Beautiful suite. Food unimpressive

Upgraded to a beautiful suite. Very comfortable. Bathroom was a bit cold and draughty and towel rail didn't work (reported at end of stay). Plenty of heating in bedroom though and very spacious. Didn't use pool but it looked relatively small and only open 4-8pm. Food service at bar only available 5-10pn. Unfortunately took an hour to get my carbonara. Bar staff kindly did chase this up and gave me a complimentary drink. Food was ok but not worth waiting an hour for. Would eat elsewhere next time.

Three-week stay over the Christmas holidays. Wonderful staff who were very friendly! I greatly appreciated the fitness center and swimming pool, which have been redone August, 2024. Staff told me the rooms are next in line for renewal, which would definitely move my ratings to all 5s. The room was not bad, mind you, just seemed to be showing its age a bit. Area around the property is going thru some major roadworks, which is why I scored it only a 4. Thanks, Glasgow Argyle, for a wonderful visit!

Nice hotel

Enjoyed our stay, didnt use swimming pool, but it looked nice, staff gave us all the information required if we wanted to. Bar and restaurant times not as stated online, so if you looking for a late drink or meal contact the hotel directly. Staff were very pleasant. Comfy bed.
