The place was great the bartender was excellent she not only served our drinks but also recommended and served us dinner. However when I book it said there was a breakfast buffet. There wasn't. The restaurant breakfast was to expensive and was served cold.

We were a late check-in. Nobody was at the counter when we arrived and had to wait 30 minutes for someone. Once someone came to get us a room, there was confusion as to what room we were getting, the one we had reserved was given to someone else earlier in the day. I understand that this is a tourist town but having uniformed security guards posted at each floor was a little weird. I asked and the guard said they were required to be there because of the groups of school children staying there. The overall accommodations were ok, the atmosphere was a little too "Disney" for me, everyone was pleasant to deal with but overall it just asn't what I was expecting from a Wyndham property.

A Memorable Trip to Gettysburg

Was very impressed with all aspects of the Hotel from check-in to check-out. The breakfast at 1863 Restaurant was especially tasty, portions were ample, waiter was friendly and checked to make sure we were satisfied with food and service. We had a problem with key card getting into pool area and maintenance or cleaning help in fitness area stopped and graciously helped us access pool area. The inside Paintings, Carpet, and Cannon gave the Hotel a Civil War atmosphere. It made the stay a memorable experience. The only negative was the rain so looking forward to a return trip on a sunny day.

Great Gettysburg hotel.

Wonderful hotel, short drive to town maybe 5 minutes. Service is great, everything is clean. Restaurant is great but no room service. Beds had new mattresses and pillow but pillows were large high and firm making them difficult to use. I recommend this hotel highly but you may need to bring pillows.
