I paid over $300 CAD per night for a stay at the BLOC Hotel at Gatwick Airport, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations, especially considering it wasn’t even peak season. The front desk staff were not welcoming, which set the tone for the stay. There was no assistance provided with luggage, despite the room being on the 8th floor. The room itself was incredibly small, making it challenging to move around comfortably. No space to keep the luggage. The TV felt outdated, with no options for streaming services like Netflix or YouTube, which are standard in most modern hotels. Additionally, the mattress was worn out, offering very little comfort for a restful night's sleep. For the price, I expected much better facilities and service. I hope the management takes this feedback into account to improve the experience for guests.

Bloc hotel is super convenience for flights from Gatwick. Literally right next to departures. We booked the smallest room which, for two, was a bit too small. (Would be perfect for one) Will upgrade for our return trip.

Lot of noise from room next door late in the evening, not Hotel's direct fault, but sound proofing not ideal - whole reason I was in the Hotel was because of a 3:30 start.

The hotel was very convenient being just by the departure gates. I thought the bed was uncomfortable and did not like the wet room principle. The hairdryer in my room did not work, glowing red and giving off smoke. To be fair to reception as compensation they gave me a fast track voucher.

This hotel is right on the departures level of Gatwick airport. It's convenient for those flying in or out, and has access to London but rail service. The room is very small, but suitable for an overnight stay for a late arrival or early flight. The shower isn't separated in the bathroom, so water gets all over. Not convenient if you need to use the bathroom after a shower. The staff were quick to fix the power outlet that wasn't working in my room when I sent a message on WhatsApp.

Clean, compact and comfy. Perfect short stay.
Perfectly nice clean room before or after a long flight. I arrived shattered, past midnight and collapsed into the bed and slept soundly. You'd never know you were at an airport. Small room but is everything you need for a short stay/stopover. Loved the key drop by lifts so you can just go on your way and less dragging your luggage about.
