I thought the Hotel was great overall. The staff was very friendly. I only have 2 issues. One is the bed. You could feel every bump in it. I used a spare blanket to put under the sheets and slept on top of the bedding to add extra cushion. Secondly, the indoor pool area was pretty small. There were only 6 chairs available to sit in. Having said all of this, I would still return again. Next time I will be bringing my own mattress topper.

Location is very convenient. But the hotel itself had bed bugs in our room, the lady at the desk didnt seem to concerned about the bed bugs. Did switch room but said it might not even be a bed bug. (It most definitely was, i showed her the picture even) the hotel was very outdated. 2 elevators for the entire hotel so you wait forever. Stairs on opposite ends of hallway. Low clearance parking garage with water leaks from pool everywhere. Mattresses very very firm. After being moved due to bed begs I still couldn't sleep because my hips were killing me. People were very loud, nothing done about it.

First room we were assigned smelled like cat urine. They switched us to a new room within 30 minutes, and the new room smelled great. The location of the hotel is the real selling point and considering it saves you from paying $10-$20/day for public parking in downtown Gatlinburg. Parking garage was tight, so we took the smaller of our vehicles and had no issues finding a spot. The breakfast was okay. Elevators turn into a nightmare after 9am. Everybody is trying to make it to breakfast by 10am or they are checking out with all their luggage. There are only two elevators to service the whole hotel. So, my advice is to eat and get the heck outta dodge by 9am if you want to save your sanity. Also, the hot tubs are more packed after dinner. Head in the pool area 5-7pm and eat a late dinner.

Good customer service from friendly staff Clean room with balcony overlooking the river. Free breakfast consisting of biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, pancakes, several cereals, yogurt, ok, coffee, and more. Don't forget to leave a token of appreciation for those working to keep everything full of you choose to have the breakfast. Even tho, I didn't use the pool or hot tub, both were clean. Excellent location, walkable to the strip

Older hotel that was pretty clean. 8.5/10. Friendly staff. Only issues i had that really was not a big deal was elevator’s are really slow and parking spots are really tight. Like i said not a big deal. The one thing that makes me not give a perfect 5 star rating is that the cleaning staff left our room door open for who knows how long. Nothing was missing but it could have been a big problem. All in all I was very satisfied and the location well within walking distance of anything in Gatlinburg!! Pool was nice and clean. I would stay there again. Next time i will get a room on the river side and not mtn. Side. Really no views in mtn side.

We can't actually rate the room or the interior of the hotel because we weren't able to park to actually check in. Even though their listing says a specific vehicle height limit, which our vehicle met, the parking garage very quickly became tight to maneuver and the overhead clearance dropped to 6'. There was no where for us to park that was accessible by our vehicle. When we reached out to the property about the parking issue, they said they could help with alternative parking, which to our understanding was going to be off-site. Had we known this, we would not have made the reservation and were not able to cancel so no refund.

We visit this property every few years and the only thing that we didn’t like this time was the exercise room had no working equipment. The pools and hot tubs were taken by the same people for two days. There ARE BEARS NEAR AND ON THIS PROPERTY SO BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AT ALL TIMES. I was actually chased by one while my husband and I were enjoying the stream and taking pictures in front of the hotel. The cleaning staff do NOT speak English but the front desk staff are very helpful and friendly and DO speak English. We would love to have some more time at Edgewater but unless we could get some kind of coupon or a discount stay, I don’t think we can afford it in this economy anytime soon.

Really nice hotel, nice being walkable to everything or near the free trolly. Pool, hot tubs were great, and we didn’t realize we were gonna have a slide. My daughter had a blast. Breakfast very good with a nice river view.

Hotel was clean. An older hotel right on the river, but they keep it in good shape. Got to see a bear in the river looking for fish in front of hotel. The staff were all friendly. Woild stay again
