The room had a balcony with a pretty view of a river. The room is nice and clean. Check in staff very friendly. Check out staff not so friendly. Parking is horrible. Continental breakfast was awful. Price was good for off season.

Nestled along the creek, the lodge makes it feel that you are in the mountains. However, it’s close to downtown Gatlinburg and is an easy walk to shopping and dining. I appreciated the fire pits and seating outdoors.

Short but nice stay
The staff is so nice there! It was a short stay for us but comfy and cozy. The TV remote would not work and the lighting was dim but overall pretty safe with minimal issues

The check in area is in a separate building, then you need to drive down the hill to get to your rooms. Rooms were okay, pretty dark even with the lights on. You have to buy firewood for the fireplace in your room, breakfast is served in a different building as well. Outside pool and hot tub looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in sometime. Family would have definately used the hot tub if it was cleaned.

I initially booked this room because the reviews talked about how great the breakfast was. I was real disappointed to find that all they had was cereal and rubbery pancakes. I could have saved myself the money a booked a place that did not offer free breakfast. The comforter smelled like a wet dog, had laid on it, and the front door had a gap to the floor allowing cold air to seep through making it very difficult to keep the room at a balanced temp. The hotel, however, had a nice flowing river in the back, quiet location, and not far of a walk to downtown.

About 1/2 mile off the strip, so be prepared to drive, catch a trolley, or walk long distances. Be careful of the doors opening to the balcony, it automatically locks when it closes. We locked ourselves out on the balcony within 5 minutes of being there, thinking we had unlocked the door. I had to climb over the railing and walk back to the office to get another key. Our room was next to the road. The staff were very friendly and nice and offered to move us to another room, but the location was just not where we wanted to be and we ended up moving to another property downtown. Nothing wrong with the property, just not our preference and I misunderstood the location when I booked. Seemed clean in the few minutes we were there.

I’ve had better.
Faucet in bathroom dripped. Only good thing about that was when the furnace kicked in it sounded like a freight train so it drowned the sound of the dripping out. Our house keeping did not make bed on second night. Not sure if that was because we left no tip in provided envelope after first night. Fireplace was nice but firewood was expensive at the hotel.

we got the king room with wood paneling instead of sheet rock. the fireplace was great and had a better river balcony view than most hotels. We loved the old time charm of the room. a good convienent elevator made coming and going easy. a blue and yellow trolley stop made going anywhere free and easy. the heater was a little touchy it would be either too hot or too cold, but after a few hr.s it dialed in. huge room and parking lot we didn't feel stuck in traffic as soon as we pulled out. I would definatly stay there again and we have been going to gatlinburg every year for decades.

This was our second time staying here and we will probably come back. It affordable, walkable and easy to park. We upgraded to a fireplace room and were disappointed you had to buy wood. It also would have been nice to have hotter water with it being so cold outside.

Great size room! Clean, nice fireplace and balcony with good river (brooke) view. Highly recommend this place. The staff in the office at check in was super sweet! Thank you for a great stay!

Great place for the price.
The room was clean and updated bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Free continental breakfast, pancakes biscuits and gravy, cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt, fresh apples. Coffee, orange juice,bottle water. For the money a great find.
