Tediously slow check-in. Bathroom had hair in shower and pink mold in grout. Housekeeping sporadic. Rude desk staff. Sketchy area. Restaurant host was nice however.

The actual place is very nice, cute vibes and great staff. However, it has to get a 2 star due to their being a portapotty graveyard located a few hundred feet behind the hotel, and a bbq joint near by. The entire surrounding area smells like poop mixed with beef jerky and makes it awful to walk outside, and when it rains.. it only gets worse. The place was also incredibly empty of visitors, at least when I stayed.

I loved the cleanliness of the property. Many times I walk into a hotel and smell smoke, but not here. This place was well maintained. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff there was great! The only issue I have and the only reason I didn't give it five start was the front desk employee had a bit of an attitude. My fridge wasn't working and I needed it to put away some dog food that I brought. When I mentioned it to her she stopped eating and made it seem like she was doing me favor, or as if I was bothering her. She said," Do you need it?" then said that she would have to call the electrician because she didn't know how to set it up. Aside from that, lovely place, very dog friendly, which I absolutely love.

The Kingston is located in a very sketchy part of town. The hotel looks like an old hotel that has been renovated. The rooms are very basic, no extra perks. They give you one Regular coffee kcup with reusable mugs. They provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached to the wall in the shower. Our body wash was either empty or the pump was broken. When we left the next morning we informed the front desk she said she would tell housekeeping. When we got back that night that body wash was still empty or broken. There isn’t a free breakfast and we didn’t try out the breakfast you can purchase. The biggest perk to the hotel is that’s it’s about 15 minutes from downtown Savannah.
