Disappointed in Galveston.

I booked because of price and reviews, but was very disappointed. The room stunk, the floor was sticky, the tiles in front of the toilet had no grout in the tiles and some were broke and it felt like we could fall through the floor if we stood directly in front of the toilet. The bed was ok, but seeing a roach on the bathroom door this morning made me glad that we only booked one night, and it was just to sleep. The room looked great going in though. I’m sure most of their rooms are great, but I wish they would fix them before they rent them out.

My favorite place near the beach.

My favorite place to stay when I’m in Galveston. I’m in town 2 to 3 times a year and stay for 4-6 days. The hotel is really clean and the beds are so comfortable. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Very short distance to the beach.

Don’t do it.

I am not sure why this hotel got such good reviews. I booked this based on the reviews when you see lawn chairs on the patios it means people are living there. It is so humid and moist at the beach. Special care must be taken. There was mold on the pillows. The sheets had stains. The rain came in under the door. You could fit your fingers under the door, convenient location. Too expensive for a crummy hotel.
