Check in staff was less than friendly or helpful. I asked about the shuttle services to the cruise ships and he pointed to a list stuck on the wall. I asked about price for a local shuttle and he told me $30.00 one way for two. We took Uber for $12.95 for two. Room was very small. Property was not even half full he gave us a room on the 2nd floor— I am 78 and my wife is 75. We won’t be back.

Although I knew it was an older property I did expect better condition. Wall paper peeling, I had to ask for a blanket, our room AC unit didn't work, floor was sticky, no hair dryer. The weather was not good for outdoor eating as everything was wet and there was no indoor dining spot. We took our breakfast to our room. Liked: people were friendly and addressed our issues ASAP.Local worked well for what we were doing.

This is a great place to stay if you are going on a cruise. Our room was clean and was totally what we expected. The grounds and pool were nice. It was great to have a couple of restaurants within walking distance that had delicious food. The only downside was not having an elevator and 2 of the ice machines were out of service and when we went to the working ice machine, it was out of ice.

Texas Waterfront Motel

The resort was renovated and had a nice 1950s beach theme. The pool was closed when we went and there was a lot of maintenance happening. Our room was across from the ocean but the road noise was quite intense. The breakfast was included and the ladies running it were lovely. The walk ability for the area is excellent with lots of restaurants and activities close by.

Top to bottom we had a great stay. We feel like we lucked out. The place was very quaint. The breakfast service was not your typical hotel continental breakfast. Everybody was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were decorated well.

Very cute property. Dated but has charm. Breakfast was good and the ladies were very nice in there. Front desk was helpful with questions and recommending a ride to/from the cruise terminal. Free on-site parking was the biggest BONUS! Thank you and we will stay again!
