Awesome stay

The hotel was super cool and screamed New Mexico charm. The hosts at the front of the hotel were also super friendly upon check in and check out.

Its kinda like stepping back in time . Coming onto a western movie set. Lots of Hollywood movie star photos and some interesting movie props and costume pieces. No complaints on the interior but sitting on my balcony was very noisy with a main street right out front. Occasional street race from time to time. Over all it’s still a great place to come and stay.

The hotel is beautiful, quaint, and nostalgic. It is well maintained. My only complaint was that the bathroom was so small that it was difficult to move around in. But that is due to the time period in which it was built. The hotel restaurant was delicious. All of the workers were friendly and helpful. We had a room at the end of the hall so it was quiet. There were lots of black-and-white photos of actresses and actors who had stayed at the hotel. It was very interesting with a positive vibe.

I liked that you had a security guard at the door and making sure that you lock your car and just the security alone was awesome along with the staff .I stay at the El Rancho Hotel every time I'm in Gallup. I honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else. I also love the ambiance that you get when you walk into the lobby, it truly makes you feel at home. It is my go to place when I travel to the Midwest.

Cool place Lee Marvin room had some issues for us. Very small bathroom very small. Wrong toilet installed in such a small space loved the walk in shower though.

After what almost ended up leaving me without the room I booked and paid for, which was the John Wayne Suite, we ended up just getting into the room late. The room was sooooo amazing. Fireplace, full kitchen, huge bathroom ,etc.

All I can say is WOW!!! Rooms are so unique with ‘60’s decor. I could go on and on but just need to say that I told my husband we needed to have a family trip here and we live in Illinois. The restaurant was delicious, the room was wonderfully clean and the staff was the greatest.
