Gorgeous hotel! We stayed for our anniversary. We had a wonderful stay. The restaurant attached has great food and drinks. Live music at night was fantastic! My only complaint is we paid for a suite with a jaccuzi but the jacuzzi didn't work.

Great resort

We stayed for a mini honeymoon. We loved the overall resort. It was beautiful and welcoming. The food was excellent at the attached restaurant and breakfast was included each day. The pool and hot tub was clean every day. The only downside was that the mattress was not very comfortable.

Nice hotel- breakfast was ok nothing special- coffee and juice very water down. Had a restaurant and bar on premise with plenty of parking. Location was not the best for us as you could not walk into the downtown area. We drove did not use van service but they did have it which would be helpful. Resort fee really not necessary for us never used the pool or hot tub.

Very nice property. Downtown Galena less than 2 miles away. Gentle rolling hills were ever the eye can see. Birth place of President Grant. Something to do for everyone an Dubuque Iowa is 12 miles away plenty to due there too. You can ski ⛷️ near by or watch the leaves 🍁 fall. You will need about 3 days to see it all an not be rushed, enjoy 😉

Our room was just not clean, the carpet and hard floors all had dirt or lint stuck in the corners. What else did you miss?The "on demand " housekeeping is an obvious cost-cutting measure not appropriate at the cost per night. Front desk was under-staffed and disorganized so not attentive to my check-in. Entire facility is showing it's age, paint chips abound and flooring is worn more than the decor should indicate. Breakfast is skimpy and disorganized. Small pastry table and juice bar with no mention of hot food. Eventually a server offered a limited hot plate meal that was not very tasty. Server was not pleasant and very loudspoken. Condiment packages unused from tables were being placed back to be reused. Disposable cups and paper napkins were not impressive. Details such as this should not be missed at the prevailing price. Next time I will take a pass.
