Nice place to stay, close to station. You can hear the trains from the JR line nearby but isn't too bad. Twin bed room has enough space for a couple large suitcases. Breakfast is just onigiri with some soups, tomato juice and coffee.
The location was great! Lots of dining options but the hotel breakfast was good too!

Do Not Feel Comfortable
I have stayed in Toyoko Inn in several cities over the years before COVID - 19. But my latest stay left me disappointed and uncomfortable. Room and service wise remained more or less the same. The free breakfast which used to be the highlight (for me) was a real let down. Food were onirigi wrapped in plastic and plain bun without butter or jam). Soup was salty. The onirigi rice was tasteless and quality of the filling below average. I got to know they locked their emergency exits when I read the notice they pasted on the lift entrance wall. (I can confirm that because I tried walking down the staircase due to the long wait for only lift). Crime prevention override hotel guest safety during emergency?
Pros: One of the cleaner Toyoko inns I've stayed at. Room was clean. Breakfast included. Easy self check in and out. Very walkable from Hakata stn.
Cons: There's at least 3 Toyoko inns in the same one block radius so it was very confusing to find. We actually walked into the wrong Inn the second night. Why did they do this? Or can they please give each of them a more unique name or number the properties?
