When we got there my husband asked for a 1st floor room because I couldn't take the stairs every day. The person checking us in said we should have specified a first floor at the time of booking because she had already prepared a nice room on the second floor. The room we were given instead seemed to be in the old part of the building and the beds were very uncomfortable for me. I had to use the extra pillows to sleep on because I don't like hard beds. We also had to state, at the time of arrival, when we would like maid service and give dates. We asked for it once in the middle of the 5-day week we were there. The housekeeping service was very friendly, and provided us with fresh towels and clean trash can bags, when we didn’t want to leave our room. The breakfasts supplied was very good too with scrambled eggs, bacon and/or sausage and choice of waffles and cereals.

We booked the hotel closest to Sequoia Natl Park that’s available when we decide on the trip, which was late. This hotel is pet friendly, 6 miles to the south entrance to Sequoia NP. It is an ok hotel for me who is a little bit a hotel diva. It was clean. Staff was not the most friendly but got the job done. The price is high but all the nicer hotels in the area and inside the park are all expensive.

Close to Sequoia National Park, Comfortable beds, clean, loud fan in bathroom and noisy AC. Breakfast was ok but not enough seating for hotel of this size. Frequently not anywhere to sit, lots of large groups. Had to sit out by pool one morning to eat.

The ONLY negative was the sheets were a synthetic fiber of some sort. I inquired about cotton, or blend, but none were available. Those loving satin or silk will be pleased. not me. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
