I had a 16 hour overnight layover in Frankfurt and hanging at the airport was rather unappealing. I booked the Sheraton, even though I had little use for anything but a bed and coffee, I found it really more than adequate.

Perfect walking distance overnight layover hotel

Fantastic option for an overnight connection at Frankfurt airport. Both Sheraton and Marriot are connected via sky walk to Terminal 1, a 10 minute indoor walk. We, a family of 4, came in around 20:30, had a fast check-in, got a "family room" that slept 4 of us extremely comfortably. The family room really turned out to be two rooms connected via a door, which worked great for us. We got dinner at the hotel, which was good quality, and service was fast. Our flight was at 10:45, so we got to sleep in. Complimentary waters, espresso, all added to the comfort. Worth every penny.

Great location, but possibly worst check-in experience I've had in a long time. Slow and frustrating. Staff either did not know what they were doing (couldn't figure out how to add city tax to a pre-paid room on their computer) or weren't empowered to do simple transactions like taking credit card payments or alternatively, cash. We waited in line to check-in for 15 minutes, and then, the check-in process took another 18 minutes (by then we were timing it), during which time we were twice(!) re-routed to different desks because various employees either didn't know how to do a function, or had to get supervisor approval to do it. These were basic functions, like paying the city tax for our room. Absolutely ridiculous. Altogether, more than half and hour from the time we entered the check-in space till we finally had a room key in hand.

Sauber, gut gelegen, katastrophale Matratze

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und alles ist sehr sauber. Großes Plus für die Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer. Das Bett hat mich jedoch sehr enttäuscht! Die Matratze war so durchgelegen, dass ich in einer Kuhle lag und schlecht geschlafen habe, weil ich andauernd Schmerzen irgendwo hatte. Am nächsten Tag hatte ich Nackenschmerzen, Kopfschmerzen und fühlte mich wie gerädert. Die Matratze muss dringend gewechselt werden! Völlig durchgelegen! Dies sagte ich auch beim Check-out. Daraufhin bekam ich einen Voucher für einen Kaffee. Das finde ich etwas wenig für ein so teures Zimmer einer renommierten Hotelkette. Insgesamt also ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis.

Charge for wifi

The hotel is very convenient for an overnight stay to catch an early flight. Our room was (according to my Fitbit) nearly a half-mile walk. The room was clean and quiet and well appointed. I was dismayed to find we would have to pay for Wi-Fi. I have traveled in several countries and this is the first time the Wi-Fi charge was not included with the room.
