What great place to stay - on the Sunny side of the bay.
Everyone is so friendly and the staff are exceptionally helpful. With the ferry at your doorstep who needs a car. Left ours at the car park at the top of the village and had an amazing scenic walk down to The Lugger Inn.
Stunning location in harbour side pub. Room excellent. Stylish decor and split new bathroom. Ferry to Fowey barely yards away. I arrived by bus (not frequent). Walk to Polruan Castle 10 mins away. (Small but very atmospheric).
Located in a wonderful setting our rooms were newly and tastefully renovated. Great views over the harbour. New lovely bathroom with shower. Wonderful white linen covered comfortable bed. Netflix on TV. Easy clean floor. Very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend. Great food in restaurant. The two people who managed the bar and restaurant were run off their feet and did a wonderful job. We loved it.
The room was lovely, lovely patio with a limited sea view to the side however when we got there my husband had to fix the shower door as it was off it’s rollers and we couldn’t open it, the shower trap needs cleaning and there was a poo stain in the toilet, no big deal but I think these are basics to check before letting the room. Also
there was no milk and I asked several times in the end I went and got some.. The food in the pub was really nice and the staff very friendly,
Fantastic location very awkward to park car if no space on the quayside, car park long distance away on top of the hillside, we were very lucky to get a space on the quayside someone leaving as we arrived,
Very quirky to get to upstairs bedrooms outside up a long flight of steps up the lane down an alleyway some more steps to the back of the Inn , having said that the room was lovely gorgeous king size bed ,
Food was fantastic lovely friendly atmosphere and great service.
The Inn isn’t in Fowey it’s in Polruan across the bay to Fowey , there is a Lugger Inn in Fowey as well don’t go to the wrong place like we did !!
Absolutely brilliant b&b with great food, staff and close to harbour beach and costal paths. The only disappointing part of the stay is that breakfast does not start until 9am, which for us was too late as we needed to get on with the day. If breakfast is a 8am start would have given the b&b a 5star.
Lovely bedroom and bathroom - comfortable and clean.
Terrace area needed work. This could be accessed by all staying guests, despite paying extra to have a terrace. The terrace also needed some attention - to be swept, planters needing finishing and decking, table and chairs all need a clean (covered in seagull mess). The partial sea view can only be seen from the end of the terrace, not the bedroom as suggested from the description.
Fantastic position
Lovely surprise to have modern facilities bedroom and shower room in such an old building
We parked the car at the top of the hill so a bit of a walk up and down the hill although we went walking the coastal walk so did not need the car.

Liked: Amenities
Good place to stay across from Fowey with easy access via the pedestrian ferry right next to the pub, and great for the SWCP. The refurbished rooms are nicely decorated.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Poor attention to detail.
Room was clean and tidy but no quilt cover or bath towels in room.
Room was lovely, excellent location. One big problem, the water supply was cut off in the evening/morning which meant that I was unable to shower, wash, flush the toilet nor wash my hands afterwards. There was a good selection of tea/coffee but I was unable to have any due to the water issue, which was disappointing. Had the water issue not popped up it would have lovely here, but that spoilt my stay there. Would think twice about revisiting because of this issue which ruined my stay there
