The property was beautiful, very quiet and serene. The pools were wonderful (heated with one a "Serenity" pool). Three restaurants plus a pool bar and Starbucks plus a takeout pizza place. It's not fancy, just relaxing. Our room was nice with a balcony to view the sunsets. One negative was the "Red Tide" so there were tons of dead fish on the beach although the resort did try to clean them up from in front of the resort. Also, vacationers should be made aware of the daily "holds" put on their credit card which can add up to a lot even though they are temporary. And there is a daily "resort fee" which adds to the expense.

Beautiful resort, walk across the street to dip your toes in the Gulf, swim in one of two pristine pools, or sit in the hot tub! Marina on site, rent a boat, kayak or wave runner! Great with souvenirs, made in America t shirt line, snacks, anything you need! Resort is laid out well with brick roads that wind around, nice for walking, biking (rentals on site) but beware cars DO drive them also. Four on site restaurants, did not eat there, but will next time. Tip: take the 15-20 min walk, via the beach, to historic Captiva Cemetery, and enter via the beach. Such a unique, tropical, serene, shaded spot for reflection. Tween is just a mile or so drive to the Island Store, which has all your needed groceries, souvenirs (including some from Bailey's on Sanibel, and the best made to order sandwiches! Tween is awesome. I plan to return with my husband, soon. As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable here. Tween has a homey, family feel to it.

All inclusive resort that provided everything I needed. It was wonderful to sit on the dock and watch the ospreys and dolphins. Also it was fantastic to walk across the street to the beach where the shells were magnificent. I took advantage of the kayaks and bikes that were available. It made getting around very nice. The staff were very friendly and the facilities are clean. I would definitely go back.

We liked the room and all the Tween waters eating options. Just a short walk to the private beach which was very nice. Friendly staff. A little noisy with all the rebuilding needed from the recent hurricanes. Will stay there again.

Eating frozen expensive meals.

They had no heat in their restaurants. Temp was 40’s at night 50’s in the day. Spending over $125 per person in the restaurants. Should not be freezing while you’re eating. Although the weather can’t be controlled , management should have made sure there was ample heat in the dining areas.

Our room had a gulf ocean view. So, location of this hotel next to the ocean is its strongest attribute. The room contains nice enough furnishings. The dual comfort air heater and cooling unit made an annoying noise when on. The sink in the cooking area is small for dealing with dishes and the faucet sprays water everywhere. I am critical here since the room is expensive including resort fees. There are resort amenities available for guests including bicycles, spa, and restaurants.

Captiva is a seriously peaceful place with some incredible sunsets. Tween makes it all that much more special. The gulf view rooms and the fresh food served daily. Friendly staff, fun property and a guaranteed relaxing vacation. Tween is always on my perfect scenery and relax mode list!

Nice location. Interesting history. Beautiful beach. Excellent dining choices although they are expensive. Free bike and kayak a big plus for exploring. Sanibel Nature Refuge was gorgeous. Captiva/Sanibel are still recovering from their most recent hurricane, so be prepared for some eyesores.

As a single woman in her late 30’s my main concern is safety. It was disappointing that the deadbolt on the entry door did not work, in addition to the windows on the entry door being so poorly installed, anyone could have just pushed on it to get in. Secondarily, the overall cleanliness of the room could have improved greatly, especially in the bathroom. The property grounds were nice, including the pool. There was only one bartender and server on staff so it made for very long wait times for drinks and to order food. The three restaurants on the property are very good and I would certainly recommend those to anyone staying on or off property.

Special Place

Beautiful property aptly named due to the property sitting between a bay area and the ocean. The rooms were great but the beds and pillows were not. There were lots of returning guests which indicated that their experience has been great over many years. I would go back again as I think this is a special place. Great location on Captive!!!
