What a great beach resort. Lovely upscale property. All amenities any vacationer could want. Everything at your fingertips. Stunning beachfront and Tiki bar. Excellent restaurants. Lovely decor. A real find on Sanibel Island.

I am glad Sanibel is recovering from the hurricanes but it is still in recovery mode. A lot of construction and a lot of dry and fallen trees around the island. The hotel is definitely not what I expected, especially when thinking I am booking in a “Resort” and for the price I paid. It is a small property with a small pool area and bar. The building I stayed was very old and had a muggy smell. The refrigerator didn’t cool very, the beds were stiff, the phone in the room didn’t work and the ice maker outside my room was broken and kept spitting out ice nonstop, creating a puddle outside my room. In addition, when taking my dog out at night to walk, the property had poor lighting and illumination, Also, the email I received after booking, which indicated to watch out for No-see Ums bites definitely ruined my trip. I wish I would have known this before booking, so I wouldn’t book in this area since I was traveling with my elderly mom with diabetes and skin sensitivity and I also traveled with my dog with allergies. Since I was told by the staff that these critters come out on the beach more prominently during sunset and sunrise, ruined my whole beach trip weekend plan to walk on the beach and watch the sunrise and sunset to relax and reset. The only plus about my stay was the Burger restaurant on the property, which the food was delicious. I wish I had more positive things to say, but I didn’t feel comfortable during my stay and my accommodations.

Sanibel is coming back

Sanibel is working hard with recovery after Hurricane Ian. The resort was as we remember from previous visits. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Bed wasn’t the greatest in terms of comfort. Beautiful location. Tiki Bar is quite overpriced for the product. Red Tide was very present which made the visit less enjoyable. Spent zero hours on the beach. Fortunately the pool was lovely.

Sanibel Island Beach Resort Checked all the boxes for our stay. It was easy to get to, and conveniently located on the beach so we could go out and collect shells anytime we liked. The staff was great, so helpful and friendly. They seemed like they were genuinely happy to be there. I would especially like to thank Annabel on the housekeeping crew for fielding a lot of my requests during her busy day. Thanks so much! Also, the drinks at the pool tiki bar were refreshing after a long day at the beach.

Everything was meticulous. Nice pool area with excellent lunches and drinks. Right on the beautiful Sanibel beach, short drive to shops and restaurants. Since our room was ready, they let us check in at noon, a very pleasant surprise!

We Loved our 1st visit at Sanibel Island Beach Resort....the Resort was clean and beautiful. The room was fantastic, we loved the pool and tiki bar.. definately be back!

Sanibel Island Beach Resort has been beautifully restored since the devastating hurricane. We loved the pool and beach areas. The beach chairs are a big plus. The food from the restaurant, which we had three nights while sitting by the pool looking out at the beach, was delicious. The only negatives were our room, which was on the first floor, smelled a bit musty or moldy and the shower didn’t drain well. The woman at the front desk said it was because of people taking showers with sand on them. She said they try to be proactive but it still happens. Makes sense I guess. Don’t really understand why people don’t wash sand off before coming into the room…especially since there’s a warm shower outside by the pool for that very reason! Overall, we had a wonderful stay!
