Hotel is unsafe and currently under renovations. They should not be charging full price. The railing was a piece plywood, anyone could of easily bumped into it and fell over. Also room was supposed to have a balcony and it didnt. Photos do not show the true conditions of the hotel and room.

The hotel was under renovation during our stay. I feel we should have been notified of this, as there was a lot of beeping noises from machines, blocked elevator entrances, etc. However, the staff was friendly and helpful at all times, almost made up for it. Rooms were still very nice, although no pictures on any walls. Prime location for walkable Hollywood boardwalk

The lobby is currently under renovation so I'm not gonna hold that against them. However, the walls are paper thin and you can literally hear everything. Not sure about traffic on the boardwalk because it was late and there wasn't a ton of people out but you can hear every single thing the room next to you is doing and saying, and I could tell that they weren't being overly loud. Just normal speaking voice. Also the beds felt cheap and very firm. And this is coming from someone who really likes a firm bed.

Location was superb, price was decent! Bummed that the hotel was being renovated but staff was friendly and helpful. It was a bonus that our room was ready to check in several hours early and they allowed us to do so. Music from next door restaurant was really loud late into the night and again at 5am but that’s our only complaint.

Great location! Close proximity to parking. Steps from the beach! Helpful, courteous staff. Air conditioning was cold! Great restaurants to walk to and enjoy the boardwalk. I would stay here again and again!

Noisy and Poorly Managed Stay I recently stayed at the Sheldon Hotel (Booking #72988473868830) and had a very disappointing experience. • Constant Noise: Renovation work during the day and poor soundproofing at night made it impossible to rest. • Parking Issues: My brother’s car was booted unfairly while picking me up, even though he had paid for parking. We were charged an additional $78.28 to have the boot removed, and the hotel staff offered no assistance or clear parking guidance. Overall, this was one of the most frustrating hotel stays I’ve ever had. I would not recommend it to anyone until the renovations are finished and the management improves guest service.

The room itself was renovated and very clean but the common area was a disaster, the flooring on 3rd floor had some soft spots that didn’t feel safe walking on and it was stinky. I believe the building has a serious ventilation issue that must be taken care of. The other thing is that the bathrooms didn’t have fans! All said, the staff were very polite and helpful.
