The Riverside Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas strip. The convenience to be within walking distance to the many restaurants, shops, art galleries and Riverwalk is top notch. The hotel is a bit dated, est in 1936, and our room was small. It had all the amenities we needed but it was a bit tight. The pool is lovely with the Boathouse restaurant available for drinks and eats at the pool. If you’re looking for a unique stay in a historic location this is the place to be.

We arrived and got checked in right away which was nice. Got to our room and it was nice and updated from the last time we stayed here. Later that afternoon we used our restroom and the door would not close. The door needed a huge repair / adjustment so we were offered a room across the hall. Not as nice or bright but was easy to move to. This room didn’t d not have a chair like the other room so they brought us one from our old room. Toilet seat was so loose my husband tightened it up. When I took a bath we found out our fan did not work in the bathroom. Our toiletry bags were soaking from the humidity with no fan. We like the lobby bar and to sit by the fireplace. We had been out in the rain and cooler weather in the evening but the lobby area was closed for a private event. Why not inform us of this when checking in. We would have stayed at the Boathouse longer. My husband talked to a night supervisor to say how dissatisfied we were. We have not traveled in a few years and had options to stay at a lower priced hotel but chose Riverside because we always enjoyed it. We spoke to someone this morning when checking out about our dissatisfaction and maybe an adjustment and she made it sound that our second room was an upgrade. Which it was not or if it is should not be. We tried to rectify this at the hotel instead of leaving this review but not so happy with the accommodations. The Boathouse was great and breakfast at the hotel was good this morning

Great location in the heart of the walking area and New River for boat tours, great staff, several bars and a nice pub, and the Boathouse is excellent! The room is very comfortable. The AC/inverter is a bit clumsy to set but just takes patience. The faucet handles on the bathroom sink were loose and we took care in using them. But otherwise the room was great. The pool is beautiful with food and bar service at the Boathouse. Enjoyed our 3-day post-cruise stay!

The hotel was very clean and we were able to check in early. The front desk staff was very nice and efficient. Location was perfect for us as it is near to so many great places. However, the bed was terrible, like sleeping on a slab, and the bathroom was very small with little shelf or counter space. The restaurant staffs were very slow and acted as if they could care less for our business.

Right in the heart of las olas st full of restaurants and shops. Steps to the riverwalk. Wonderful on site restaurants and a fun mentalist show on site. Classy, but comfortable.

I love the location of the property, and the fact that it’s a historic building, and is at one of the water taxi stops. This was our third time staying at the hotel because of the location. Unfortunately it was our second time having to ask to change rooms due to noise, the first time because we were right next to the ice machine and this time because the person in the next room, which happened to be an adjoining room, was snoring. We were then given a room situated next to the microwave station in the hallway, which someone decided to use in the early morning hours. The regular rooms are on the small side, which is fine, but the chunky furniture takes up space. Our very first time staying at the hotel we booked a suite with a balcony which I loved, lots of room, a large bathroom and wide hallways, but I think that set expectations for our following stays. If I wanted to stay in Los Olas again I would book here but I’d request a quiet room or book a suite.
