Close to restaurants and bars. Beach is directly across the street so easy to walk to. Beds are extremely hard. Beware you are given waters and drink vouchers but you have to pay 50$ a day resort fee which they don’t tell you when you check in. The pool area is beautiful but it has one person working the bar/restaurant area.

Stayed with my wife and 3 little ones and this place was amazing. Check in was a breeze and the staff were super friendly. The beach is right across the street, the pool was great and most important of all the rooms were spacious and felt very clean. Highly recommend for anyone - I would stay at this hotel again.

The Staff was pleasant, the Hotel was clean. However, our room had a funny smell. The shower had hair in it, that wasn’t mine. Lastly, the Bed was very uncomfortable.

Need to get more comfortable pillows as they are a bit flat and uncomfortable. This seems to be the case across multiple rooms as this is our second stay. Regardless, we will continue to stay here because we like the staff friendliness, cleanliness, and good views.

We booked a room and were given a different room, then told we’d have to pay additional fees for a change. We were told to contact Expedia to resolve this. We also asked for the fire pits to be turned on outside, since thats greatly advertised in the photos for the hotel, we were told they haven’t worked in months… we were charged an additional $50 a night for WiFi, beach towels, and other amenities that should be “included”. The only parking available is valet parking and it’s an additional $55 a night. The only nice people were the bar tenders..

Loved the hotel. Clean and New. Rooms and bathroom good size. We chose ocean view with balcony and loved it. Room had beverage fridge, coffee maker, iron, safe, plenty of closet and drawer space. Bathroom had makeup mirror, blow driver and products in shower so you dont have to bring your own. Robes in closet. Great location within walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops and marina. Right across from beach. Pool is a bit smaller but clean and plenty of chairs. Pool bar and restaurant (no outside drinks or food). Towels available. Housekeeping daily. Resort fee included a lot of extras - 2 bottles of water a day, 2 drink tickets, wi-fi, bike rental, beach chairs. Sean is full of information and gives out coupons based on what you might be doing. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend. The only small thing that happened is housekeeping could not get to us 1 day, and they gave us a few extra drink tickets for our trouble.

This hotel was exactly what we needed for a day on the beach and a night out at the bars & restaurants. Great location and amazing views on both sides of the hotel, especially the pool deck.

If you're on the fence, rest assured: book The Maren. My husband actually booked the stay, which made me a little nervous since I’m usually the travel planner. He let the team know it was our anniversary trip and a honeymoon do-over (we got married in 2020), and asked if there were any special amenities he could add as a surprise. Their response? “No problem—we got this.” Fast forward to our arrival: after a hectic travel day, we walked into what might be the most gorgeous room I’ve ever stayed in—and I travel a lot. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed, with two balconies—one overlooking the marina, and the other large enough for a full table with chairs and recliners. The floor-to-ceiling doors opened nearly the entire span of the wall, letting in the warm breeze and the scent of saltwater. I was in heaven. As a surprise, the team had arranged a charcuterie tray, a bottle of wine, and a sweet card waiting in our room. That thoughtful gesture meant so much. The service was truly top-notch. Son, who greeted and checked us in, set the tone for our entire trip with his warm and helpful demeanor. Roger at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed. Sean’s positivity and local knowledge helped us plan some great activities—even on rainy days. And Natalie, we can’t thank you enough for organizing such lovely surprises. Without a doubt, we won’t be staying anywhere else when we visit Fort Lauderdale. The Maren has our hearts. Also go to Coconuts.
