My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and we were treated horribly. We had no access to any of the activities and weren’t even able to enjoy the pools or beach due to limited seating. When asked for help we were ignored. We didn’t even have access to water in our rooms. The water that was in our rooms was $9 a bottle. Overall spent so much money and left unhappy.

We spent our Easter weekend, and the kids absolutely loved all the activities and fun things to do. It was the perfect little getaway for a few days—full of laughter, memories, and quality time together!

There is only one coffee machine that make a cappuccino or Americano, in the morning you have to wait more than half an hour for a coffee. I think if such a huge property with so many people as to at least have two machine to serve the people. On the beach when we took a chair the stuff wasn't nice to us, they were nice only to the people who paid extra money for the chairs

My room was not ready at 4 pm had to go multiple times to ask if my room was ready finally the room was ready around 4:40pm. To top it off waitress (Vicky) from playa dinning was super nasty with us and told us that we need it to eat in 20 min and leave because they were to busy today completely unacceptable and rude. We have been in this hotel before and is supposed to be a 5 star and with so expensive it is this is completely unacceptable. Very disappointed.

This is luxury...dumbed way down.

The Diplomat is meant to be a luxury hotel, but I did not find a resort fee of $45 a night or a $50 early check in charge (a room was already open and available, I have NEVER seen this anywhere before) to be "luxury". It felt more like extraction from the moment we arrived. The valet loop was also a mess and a stressful start to the getaway. No direction was given. I ended up struggling with a ton of bags on the way in...again not exactly "luxury". The pool deck was nice but unheated. There was still construction on a portion of the pool deck which was not disclosed. There was also no hand soap in the room and the vanity mirror was dirty. Luxury...this property is not. Guest experience was poor overall and I felt as if I merely showed up to have my pocket picked for not much in return.

Front desk staff: very friendly, very knowledgeable, extremely approachable to talk to with any questions Hotel: very clean, very safe Pool areas (2): a lot of fun, very clean (get to the pool area early to get ur chair as it fills up fast) Bar area: bar tenders were excellent and served good drinks! Convenient store on site! …came in very handy Beach: beautiful water, clean beach (and the whole crew who puts out the chairs and umbrellas are top notch. They are very courteous, respectful, and friendly) Rooms: very nice, very clean. (Housecleaners do an excellent and efficient job) Parking: valet tenants are very quick and helpful. There is a parking garage across the street. Hotel surrounding area: very peaceful, grocery store within walking distance (literally a 2 min walk)

Pool was overcrowded. There weren’t enough seats for the size of the hotel. They charge extra fee to go to the pool and the infinity pool was under renovation half the stay. The rooms are updated and clean. Limited overpriced dining options.

There is no more water slide for kids. (Manager did work with us with this complaint) Facility is under construction, which they failed to disclose when booking. Never a pool chair available. Towels feel terrible, I expected better for such an upscale hotel. Conditioners and shampoos were empty first day of staying in our room. Maybe we will come back off season. It was way too busy during spring break. $65 for valet parking everyday. $24 drinks. This place is not cheap and be prepared to spend a lot of money here.
