I've been staying at the Beachcomber for over 25 years, and I appreciate the new upgrades they've made. The TVs in the standard rooms are a fantastic addition, and it had been some time since I stayed in one of those rooms. I was really pleased with the size of the TV and the refrigerator.

This was a great place for a short stop along PCH-1. Views were excellant, walkable path along coast. Various eating places. Nice patio with outdoor fireplaces if you choose to sit there. You will hear people above you, if you are on bottom floor, but I would stay here again and hopefully for a more days.

I would highly recommend that you get an upstairs room. The two above the office are excellent! The balcony gives one a majestic view of the ocean! I'm sure the ground floor rooms are nice, however, privacy can be an issue since there is an asphalt pathway that follows along the back of the property. People walking or riding bikes can easily peer into your rooms.

Accessibility to the beach was wonderful! View was breathtaking. Walking trails are so convenient.The only thing is the temperature in the room. It is very warm and unable to control the temperature. No AC, but they provided an electric fan.
