5/10- wanted to like CIT, but too many issues.
My wife and I stayed at Hu Firenze Camping in Town from 9/24/24 to 9/28/24. We had a deluxe bungalow with a queen sized bed. We have mixed feelings about the stay at best.
Pros: the staff was helpful in answering all of our questions and requests. Shuttle bus to and from 109 Via G. Orsini is convenient to use, but last pick up from town is 9:30 PM. Alternatively, city bus (#14 line) pick up point nearby with service that runs later. The site itself is clean and the guests here are respectful.
Cons: THE WIFI DOES NOT WORK IN YOUR ROOM, ONLY IN THE COMMON AREAS NEAR THE RECEPTION DESK/INFO POINT. This was very inconvenient if you are relying on the WiFi to access the internet without burning through your overseas data plan.
Our pillows were thin and not comfortable at all. At least the bed itself was nice. Our AC unit was leaking and the water ended up pooling on the floor; we had to use our towels to soak it up.
Lastly, the laundry service was a joke. We paid 5 euros to wash, 4.50 euros to 'dry'. However, the washer cannot sustain a slightly larger load of clothes!!! Our clothes were washed but came out still soaking wet. We put them in the dryer to hopefully dry off, but it barely did anything. Worst of all, we had all these wet clothes and a 7 AM flight the next day!
5/10 at best. I really wanted to like this place, but I wouldn't stay here again.
