There were quite a few bad reviews of this place but we found it fine. Sure, the room was small but the staff were friendly and it was quiet and we had no problems.
Hotel was dated and had people living there who looked like asylum seekers and benefit type residents. The room itself was clean and comfortable and surprisingly soundproofed. Do not leave anything edible in the communal fridge in the kitchen as my food was taken and it was only in there overnight, hotels full of scroungers homeless types.
Saying that the room served its purpose for the price, a clean comfortable bed for the night, just keep your door locked specially if you go out.
Absolutely horrible experience. We checked out within two hours of checking in. The rooms did not even have bathrooms in them something we were not aware of before we booked. The shared bathrooms in the hallway we like cubicles. Two toilets were out of order. The disabled toilet and shower was the only one that we could possibly used. But the door didn’t lock. With a wife and daughter in my party, this was not acceptable. The place felt like it was being used as a halfway house. In the car park, I witnessed two drug deals. Within the space of five minutes. The residents coming and going were unsavory. It felt like a prison halfway house. We checked out within a couple of hours of checking in fortunately we got a nicer place next door. But at much more cost.
I checked in see the state of the place and the noise of children running around the corridor and decided not to stay in this awful place.
It only had one power connection in the room I am sure it’s bro used for refugees
Absolute disgusting hell hole i checked in late around 10pm i looked at the state of the room it was absolutely disgusting ....on first arrival i thought i had turned up at a halfway house or some sort of probation housing association. I left at 10.15 i didnt even bother asking for a refund ....i literally wouldbt put my dog in there ive seen better kennels accommodation and thats not an exaggeration. The plave made my skin crawl ...avoid save yoyr mobey sleep in yoyr car , a park bench , anywhere but here ! ....health hazard !

I’d like to thank super helpful staff at the inn first. Otherwise the location was nice for the price. If you’re not picky it’s even a nicer place to stay at. The only trouble was that it was costing us about £20 daily to get to Edinburgh, which again was still cheaper than staying in Edinburgh. It was just time consuming. Overall very nice place to stay.
Enjoyed my time here. Wish the buses would run closer than a 15 minute walk but if you are traveling with a car an excellent, inexpensive place to stay.
