The heat was controlled by a rheostat— not a thermostat. I could either make room cooler or warmer with no indication whatsoever about temperature. At night I turned to cooler but a few hour later I woke up cold. Turned to warmer and later was sweating. Went on all night with me making less dramatic changes to no avail. Hot, cold, hot, hot, etc. I thought the second night I could d better but that did not happen. Buy a $50 thermostat and replace the rheostat. It’s not my job to regulate the heat in your hotel.

Rooms are very outdated. Blood on carpet stained. Carpet rolled due to how old it is. Poop on bathtub. No soaps in rooms. Moved rooms twice and all were either dirty or stained.

The room was cold no heat called front desk. They sent maintenance to our room. The guy bark at us. While tapping the thermostat saying this heater. Same to air conditioners my husband stated that nothing coming out and maybe it was a zone valve stuck he said maybe. Then took the angel off and started banging on the pipe said wait 30 min. If no heat then tell front desk to move us. Nothing came on except the air conditioner all night and the motel was completely full no vacant. We live in Alaska and have stayed there many times. I think the guy may have had a bad night or two.

The most surprising thing about the hotel room was that the toilets were about 13 inches off the ground. They looked like toilets from a grade school. I realize the hotel is old but that’s one thing that should be changed out is to put modern tall toilets in these rooms. The toilets were very uncomfortable. I expect more from West Mark.
