Pike's Lodge is a unique, whimsical, family-friendly stay where you will immediately feel at home. Enjoy a scoop of ice cream in front of a fireplace while playing board games with your kids. I deducted a star because the facilities are a little run-down, but you can see they are trying hard to renovate and expand their offerings. This is not the Ritz, but you'll have more fun here!

While the property is dated it has a wonderful nostalgic feeling that is authentic to the vintage nature of days gone by and the historical significance of the area. Just a wonderful surprise inside- we win most definitely start here again. Breakfast buffet which was complementary was above what we expected. Might avoid the restaurant - both our meals were dry, hard, unpleasant. We didn’t finish either chicken tenders or fish and chips - halibut. Beds and room were great big TV plenty of room for unpacking if you wanted, water pressure fantastic. Book through orbitz we saved over $100 a night on a room with double beds vs the hotel website!!!

Wonderful ambiance and staff. We had the dinner special at pike’s landing which was delicious! Everyone was helpful and the rooms were cozy and comfortable for the family. We will definitely come back n stay a while!

The hotel was average. One rude staff member ruined their rating. The website says that they offer free shuttles, but that wasn't the case. We were denied a shuttle despite being told the evening before that it would be avaliable, and told to "just get an Uber". Once we arrived at our tour start destination via Uber, a Pikes shuttle pulled in a few minutes later with people from our hotel. I don't appreciate the wasted money they caused.

Awesome place to stay! Something to do for everyone. Stayed during Aurora Season and requested a “wake up” call whenever the conditions were best for seeing the aurora borealis right from the Lodge. Fitness room had many options. Breakfast had a great variety; restaurant next door for lunch and dinner with great choices and delicious food. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. Highly recommend if in the Fairbanks area.

A lot of things to see and do here. Activities, photo ops, comfy public areas. Great breakfast. Room was spacious and nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Guest laundry was convenient.

The property was great from a vacation experience point of view. Gave a real feel for the Alaska "lodge" perspective. Breakfast was great. Cabin was nice. Fire pits were a nice touch. My only complaint is, as a business traveler, I needed quality, consistent internet connection in my room. In my cabin it was almost non-existent. When I asked about a room with better service I was told that they all tended to have the same problem with spotty service. It was suggested that I try the business center, but that really wasn't the answer I needed for the business I had to do. I ended up using my phone as a wifi hotspot to get the job done. Overall I really liked this location and will plan to stay there again the next time I am in Fairbanks. I will just be aware of the internet issue and plan my work accordingly.
