Lovely Hotel

Lovely hotel with fantastic views of exmouth seafront and the sea - we had a small balcony which was lovely. It is in an excellent location so you are central to the whole of Exmouth. Place needs a bit of an update, just a bit of TLC overall hence the 4 out of 5. I would definetly stay again 👍❤️

Friendly staff and good location with ample on-site parking (chargeable). The room was fine, but the hotel itself a little tired. The same applied to the restaurant, limited menu with very average food, but still pleasant staff. Dog Friendly a definte bonus

Nice staff but hotel not very inspiring

This hotel has a brilliant location and very nice staff. It is also not expensive. There is no denying it's showing it's age.

Public area very clean and relaxing. We have stayed several times over the last 40 years and this is the first time ive noticed the building start to age. The room was comfortable with a view of the sea. However the bathroom door needs replacing as damaged and window sill needs sanding down and repainted. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ideal for walking into town and getting to the sea front.

I think the most useful thing at the Imperial Hotel is safe parking albeit at a cost, but all other Hotels in Exmouth seem to lack this facility making their use less appealing.

Charming victorian hotel

A lovely period hotel. Needs a bit of updating in some areas but mostly it adds to its charm. Food is good - choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts each day - every day different. Also there is a bar menu served in the day. While I was there they were offering cream teas and afternoon tea which looked good. Good location - right on the esplanade and within a short walk to town, the park and railway station. The gardens are extensive and are beautiful. It was great to watch the squirrels darting around and the various birds with their antics. I had a relaxing time and felt quite rested when I left so much so I'm retuning in a couple of months!

Great stay

Nice old hotel right in the seafront. Our room overlooked the gardens, beach and sea, well worth paying the extra. Food is really tasty. Excellent customer service.

I think it was good value for money. The hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Some of the decor was a bit jaded or old fashioned. ie door key rather than electronic No charging point for mobile. We brought a charging plug so OK.
