Friendly 24h customer service, but our whole room stank of blocked drainage. I don't know what they wash the bedding and towels in, but it felt like being in a chemical fire. Woke up with a tight chest. Couldn't wait to get out.

Very comfortable room, huge bed and okay space for our dog. Breakfast was a little disappointing - no ready made porridge or fried eggs! Maybe it was because we were late getting there - it was 10am.

Overnight stay to see daughter at uni, not much time spent in hotel, large bed, clean room, tv would have like two towels rather than share, body wash was dove so good. Breakfast wasn’t great but it filled a gap. Would I return, yes.

No one on the reception desk so had to stand around for about 8 minutes to check in. Lighting in the rooms very poor relatively clean but dingy corners in the bathroom, worn, frayed towels. Kitchen closed 30 minutes before advertised time. Not what we wanted after a long journey.

Check in was polite and ok but I was asked if they could take the payment off my card and I seemed to have trouble being understood that I had already paid and no, they couldn’t take another payment off my card. Resolved after a few minutes. Also disappointed that I had to pay for parking. I had not seen any mention of this on the web site

Great stay with very helpful and informative staff. Cheaper parking code provided plus some items, eg. Toothbrush available as a complimentary which is helpful as I forgot mine.

Give the bed a miss!!!!

It was one of the worst beds I’ve ever slept in that I ended up with a bad back. The pillows were so hard and huge that I wasn’t even able to use them. Perhaps holiday inn need to invest in some decent mattresses and better quality pillows
