Staff was friendly. Rooms were pretty clean, but one of the two beds in our room was terrible! It was hard and uncomfortable, with a thin mattress pad. This was the main reason for the low review. The property was a mixed bag. There were beautiful murals in the hallways and a nice outdoor area on one side of the building. But the trash was overflowing in every can and a group loitered in the hall for hours and turned away others who wanted to do laundry (although this is isn't really the fault of the motel) .

The staff was absolutely wonderful—welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. However, the room itself had a few issues that impacted our experience. The bathtub didn’t drain properly, the beds were quite uncomfortable, and the heating unit made a loud screeching noise when in use. With a few improvements, this could be a much more comfortable stay.

OK for a budget motel. Acceptable for a single night. The rooms have been updated but could use a little more updating. Should add some more outlets for devices around the room. Mattress was not very firm and sagged a bit. Eel River Brewing is almost next door, so that was convenient.

If you have pet allergies stay somewhere else. Apparently all rooms are “dog friendly”. Having read other reviews, I knew this was a dog friendly place so I asked for a no pet room. The front desk looked for rooms that he could remember had not had a dog in it for 2 weeks. Also I noticed in the hotel court yard area, both garbage bins were over filled and desperately needed emptying.

It was a bit outside of town but near several other hotels. It was clean but dated and minimal low end furnishings. If you’re looking for basic clean accommodations this is adequate. It’s near the river walking trail Breakfast was your generic hotel quick fare.
