There's a lot of 1922 still alive at this hotel, and that is a joy. The place is a little rough around the edges and the glory days are clearly behind it, but the price reflects that, in that you are paying a mid-level chain price for what used to be a bustling luxury hotel full of bell boys and social life. The bar and Rib Room restaurant are shuttered and staff is at a minimum, though they are very friendly and appreciative of the history. The hotel room walls are paper thin, but we took this in stride in order to experience something much more interesting than a run of the mill chain hotel. A noisy guest in an adjacent room could ruin your stay here, but the place has so much character and history that it is worth the risk. If the history of Eureka is of interest to you, this is a great option.

Weekend get-away - unique destination
The hotel staff made every effort to accommodate our requests. The property sits on a busy street, but the noise wasn't so bad that it disturbed our sleep. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would stay again.

Historic hotel which has been nicely restored. Large, comfortable common rooms with fireplace in front of check in. Portraits of famous visitors/presidents who’ve visited on the walls. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. In-house bar and restaurant. Have stayed twice now. Love it!

We loved our 4 night stay at the Eureka Inn. Beautiful historic building. The lobby is gorgeous with the Redwood trim and beams. We enjoyed the Christmas tree and fireplace area very cozy. The paintings famous people who have stayed is interesting and fun. We will be back.

I paid for four nights; I left after two nights. It is clean. Renovated. But eerie. Poorly lighted. It reminded me of the hotel in The Shining. And the receptionist, casually dressed, sitting behind a plexiglass partition, was more interested in her cel than smiling to the guests. Bad experience.

EVERYTHING was Fantastic. Staff was superb. Particularly Kayla, my new best friend. And Meghan, bartender at the lounge, open Thurs-Sat nights. One of the best lobbies I've ever seen for looks, atmosphere, and ability to sit quietly. You could walk around the hotel for an hour; so much history. Wide range of dining options within. 02/mile. Easy parking, walking distance to many shops, museums, etc. And if you like fresh sushi, ask staff for directions to Co-op. Definitely check out the boardwalk and Dick Taylor Chocolate. I was on day 60 of a 90-day cross-country drive. I booked for 3 nights knowing I may (or may not) want to extend; I stayed 15 nights. And wish I could've stayed more. And I've never written this much about a hotel, but they deserve it.
