Beautiful place! Lots of history. Lounge open Thursday-Sunday, but staff allowed us to enjoy a bottle of wine by the great fireplace. Lots of wood and leather. Close to several restaurants if you arrive during the week. Hours change seasonally. Loved our stay.

Faded but comfortable

The place is a bit worn but it's got a classic atmosphere of old wood, murals, photos, and ghostly memories and faded elegance. I loved sitting in the lobby and watching the fire. Bathroom very small (no lace to put your stuff) but everything works. Room a bit chilly. TV station selection is abysmal. Wifi guaranteed to work only in public spaces (luckly my room was ok). Front lobby desk often left unattended for long stretches of time. Everyone was friendly. Close to downtown. Excellent parking. No room cleaning unless you ask for it, but that wasn't a problem. I'd stay here again.

As a historical place, it must have been awesome at one time. Recently, my experience was not good. I found a minimally-used extension cord plugged into an electrical outlet. (The lamp that this was attached to had electrical tape, keeping it together.)

This place was great. Cool old hotel with a lot of history. I got a great deal on the room because I booked it late evening the night of our stay. Car gets locked behinds gate at midnight to 6 I believe but if you need to get to your car you just ask front desk and they open it for you.

A step back in time with modern conveniences

This historic building is quite lovely and my deluxe room exceptionally appointed.The double sink bathroom had obviously been newly renovated. It was really clean.
