The property was very well maintained. They had a nice size patch of grass for our dog to use. The room was spacious and very clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job of maintaining the rooms. It was very weird to video chat the person at the checkout using the video kiosk. The attendant on the kiosk was very polite and friendly. Never experienced one of those before. I would stay again because it was nice a clean and well maintained.

Every time I come here I feel blessed. There is no place in the world where you can get this type of bargain. The Anchor Inn hotel emulates a time share in San Diego, just a little bit colder. Also the back entrance to the by room beach. The hedge needs to be trimmed a good foot or two...also I think sand stone walk way would look good. I like doing that type of work, if interested

Stayed for one night in an ocean view room. Room was clean enough but for some reason the carpet near the window and air conditioner was really damp and could be felt when walking on it. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was very dated. Hotel overall was quite average. Use of a Tesla charger was a nice bonus.

Rooms were dirty. Hair on the sheets and comforters were torn up, stained and freshly soiled. Kiosk checkin was a terrible experience and they had fees and deposits for everything. I stayed there a few years ago and it was fine . Ownership changed and it’s absolutely disgusting.

Room was very clean. Check in is kiosk but easy enough. Only real omplaint is the morning breakfast. Coffee bland and food Options very limited. No yogurt and or bagels just premade tiny muffins wrapped and some oat bars and or an apple. Better coffee needed with regular milk and or half/half would be appreciated. Also there was never a pet fee stated even when talking to them the day before so not happy they charged additional $20 at check in. And pls turn off lights on outside window exterior.

It was Fine.
So this place is fine. Nothing special. My husband and I went to be next to the ocean during the king tides and watch the big waves. The “ocean views” were minimal and there was a road in between the property and the beach. There was also a lot of road noise so no listening to the waves. The rooms are decent. A little run down but clean. The check in kiosk is creepy and I have to wonder why they have it. Very impersonal. It almost felt like it was an abandoned property which didn’t make me feel too secure, and if I had been alone I wouldn’t have stayed. Overall it was just a very neutral experience. But don’t stay there to feel like you are on the actual ocean. It won’t work.

Disgusting
The zoom virtual agent experience was awful - the connection was poor and had to wait for someone. Can't believe they outsource for front desk - it definitely did not feel safe, and the lacknof personal care and attention carries through to the property conditions. The room was possibly the worst ive ever been in - blood stains on the door, floor, and sheets; damp, stained towels; a melted hair dryer; lumpy, springy mattress, and more. I felt very dirty just being in the room. Eventually they moved me but only after repeatedly saying "no refunds" which I didn’t even ask for. The new room still had broken curtains and more. I will never stay here again and caution anyone else to think twice.

We checked in late at night and they had a virtual check in stand where you talked one on one with someone over a camera. Check in process was smooth. Just stayed here for the night as we were on a roadtrip, so didn’t do much exploration in the property or area. It’s a nice place to stop for a night while on the road for a long time, nothing extraordinary
