The old rooms are outdated but surprisingly clean, newly remodeled rooms are excellent! Especially at the price! I stay here usually one or two nights a week. Great staff and location!

Average Central Hotel

Decent place to stay central to Encinitas - a lot of good coffee shops / restaurants in the area. A bit of an older building with limited parking. The rooms are very basic, but not terrible. They are a bit cheaper / night, but charge additional fees for extra towels / room service. They will also charge if you lose a room key. Good location with friendly staff, but just OK overall.

This is by far the most unpleasant hotel I have ever seen in my life! The moment I walk in the room and saw all the bed sheets with stains was unbelievable. I then walk to the restroom and saw mild everywhere. I decided to speak to the front receptionist within the ten minutes I check in to cancel my stay since it was unsanitary and very Hazardous for my kids and myself. The front receptionist was being extremely rude and said that he couldn’t do anything about it and that I can checkout but will still charge me for the night of stay. They kept charging my card for nonsense payments all weekend! Do not trust staying here or booking with them the pictures are not how the hotel looks!

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! I was charged for two nights without even staying a single night. The place was filthy—mold everywhere, and the rooms were clearly not sanitized for guests. After driving seven hours to get there, I had to leave immediately because of the horrible conditions. The staff was rude, offered no apology, and refused to give a refund. To make things even worse, my room had dirty boxers hanging on the shower rail. Please, save your money and avoid this place spare yourself the frustration and disappointment!

Aside from the shady looking character walking around the motel constantly, the smell of smoke in the room and the fact that the whole place is under construction I don’t think we would stay here again. Not very clean. Did not seem very safe arriving at night with my 2 young sons.

I was pretty impressed with how nice the room was. It was spacious and clean. It’s about a 10 minute walk down to the beach from the pathway at the back of the inn. Unfortunately there’s construction going on in the roadway so that was kind of loud, but not too bothersome. There’s a lot of little shops and dining within walking distance. We went to the little donut shop up the road. All in all it was a great stay.

Great stay!

Check in was easy, the staff were wonderful! The room was clean. There were spots on the ceiling in the bathroom and chips in the tub, but they are renovating the hotel and hadn’t gotten to our room yet. The only complaint I would have is that the mattress felt worn out and wasn’t very comfortable. It was super close to dining, shopping, and the beach. The grounds are very well kept and there are beautiful plants everywhere. Parking is a bit tight, but we parked towards the front of the lot and was fine. 10/10 would recommend for a budget friendly stay!

They listed a room for rent that didn’t have a heater. The front desk clerk tried to give me a mini space heater. They should have taken the room off their rental block when I tried to use a space heater. It also didn’t work then had to go through a long process to get my money back through Expedia at 2 AM

It is in a great location and the beds are extremely comfortable. However, I had a terrible experience with one of office staff upon arrival. And her staff members backed her up and they were absolutely in the wrong. She did absolutely nothing to try and resolve the situation. She did not even offer me an apology. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If someone were to have reached out to me to offer their apologies or anything then it would have been a very pleasant experience. Which it was! We did not let her ruin our trip though! All in all it was a great hotel for us! But I wish management would call me!
