First of all I got to say that this the purpose of getting some sleep at this place has been accomplished. However there were a few interesting details that made me feel rather uneasy.
First, during the check-in I was asked to sign on some policies, which in itself did not feel unusual. What did feel unusual is the following policy that was on the list:
'The hotel may enter your room at least once per day, even with a "Do Not Disturb" sign, to ensure the room is clean and in good condition for you and other guests. You authorize hotel staff to enter for this purpose.'
Second, when I asked if I could get my water bottle refilled, the staff at the desk said no, because their water filter only gets turned on for the breakfast, but that I am welcome to buy some bottled water. I did not quite follow how a water filter can only be turned on for breakfast, and I preferred not to ask further questions for various reasons, but during the breakfast there was a different staff at the desk, who clarified, that they don't have a filter (so it seems that the hot water that is served at breakfast is unfiltered).
Third, the room felt a little stuffy and had a strange smell, but after the response I got about the filter, I did not feel comfortable inquiring whether it would be possible to do anything about it.
Frankly, if I was not staying there with my friend, I would have been scared to sleep there.
