Property was nice but very very noisy in the evening with loud music. Food wasn’t terrible and not great. It was average and a lot of options, fine for us. Rooms were very dated but also very clean. Beach was wonderful and pools were nice. Resort needs a facelift but we enjoyed ourselves.

First time to costa rica and staying here was perfect!! The am buffet isn’t the best but it’s free! We munched on waffles :P Overall great stay and look forward to other stays at the rui!

I definitely recommend this resort , my check in was great Jesus was the best. Very welcoming and polite. The buffet was good & plentiful cleanliness could have been better but it wasn’t unpleasant at all. I ate like a guy at a buffet supposed to eat . The bartender was good & nice drinks made to get you where you’re trying to go. Pool area was clean & very spacious swim up bar.

Vacation exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lots of food options, quality of food was excellent. Multiple areas on site to spend you time from the beach multiple pools, and waterslides. Will definitely book a RIU hotel vacation again.

The beach is great and the opportunity to see a family of white-faced monkeys down the beach was fantastic. The buffets had many options to choose from. It was very hard to get into a restaurant - even when we arrived early, it was already booked up so we had to go with the buffet each time. There is no option to make reservations either. The rooms were in pretty good shape. Overall, it was quite busy and loud but that's to be expected with this type of all inclusive resort.

The resort was run down our tub leaked and the sink was cracked. I paid for ocean view, but the balcony had a solid wall so sitting on the balcony the view was a wall. I didn't like that you couldn't make reservations for the restaurants and had to be there 30 minutes before opening to stand in line. The food was good in all the restaurants and the buffets. The staff was friendly, and our room was always cleaned in a timely manner. The bars were staffed appropriately, so getting a drink didn't take to long. I heard it is getting renovated, so that is good since it is in desperate need

This was meant to be a joyful, meaningful celebration trip for my daughter. One we had planned and saved -yet it was filled with unnecessary stress, discomfort and disappointment. The experience you provided did not live up to what was promised, nor what we paid for. - misleading claims about vegan options and unsafe cross contamination practices. -substandard room conditions ( mold, order, sewage, malfunctioning air conditioning). - poor responsiveness to complaints and service request -unclean, poorly maintained beach and pool areas - unprofessional handling of communication through Expedia -we were charged full price for services and accommodations that were not delivered.

Service was limited at the Specialty restaurants. We went to the steakhouse twice once at 6:30 and once at 6:15 and both times after waiting in line they sad they weren’t taking any more guest even though they opened at 6. The shower broke on the first day and the shower head was corroded. Food was ok and pool wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. Beach is littered with people selling things.

What needs to be emphasized , and was not reflected in the above ratings, is the quality of the food. Our family of six was disappointed in the food served in the restaurants and would give it an average rating. We all expected better based on your reviews.

I love the Riu and the parties and entertainment were amazing , there was a few hiccups this time , staff wasn’t always on point this time . Generally very pleased with this resort . The food was amazing . Excited for the renovations. Will come back for sure

Very limited dining options. An abundance of food on buffets, but not many options of good food. Steak house had no vegetarian options so we were never able to try it as our daughter is vegetarian. Not all sit down restaurants are open every night. Restaurants are first come first serve/ so expect to wait. No Room Service! So get down to get your coffee/breakfast. All inclusive but could not get beer stocked in room. We don’t drink hard alcohol- but it’s not top shelf. Overall staff was cleaning bathrooms and common areas frequently- but more focus needed on detail cleaning. Cobwebs in hallways, high dusting and cleaning needed. Visited sister location Palace. For a few more dollars, I think we will stay there next time instead.
