Reception staff we extremely welcoming and helpful. The junior suite was a great size with good views of Arthur’s seat. The beds we comfortable and breakfast catered for all requirements. The pool was slightly cold and the Sauna was not working but we had pool to ourselves and the steam room was enjoyably relaxing.

Always something to do

Shopping trip, ghost tour, did go to the castle but hadn't prebooked so couldn't get in. We went to the museum instead which was very good.

The rooms were excellent and clean, and the beds extremely comfortable. The breakfast was unremarkable and of a basic standard. If it had been free and included, I would have said it was of acceptable quality, but having paid £21 per person for it, it was not worth the extra payment. I'd advise eating out, as there are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel. The staff were friendly and approachable, and the hotel's price point is about right. The facility had a small pool, which could have been a little warmer, and the sauna was broken when we visited, but there was a good offering of SPA treatments, which unfortunately we didn't take up due to the time constraints of our trip. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for location and comfort. With some updates, this hotel could be outstanding.

WiFi was the worst ever experienced. Paid for a room with a view, yet the only view possible was if you are six feet plus and really crank your next to see a hilltop. Horribly overpriced and unfriendly staff

This hotel so exceeded my expectations. Booked for a one-night, quick stay in Edinborough it turned out to be a fantastic spot! The staff were so pleasant and helpful, my room was large and comfortable. Situated right on the Royal Mile, its perfect for exploring and soaking up the city. I really enjoyed the pool/spa area as well...very zen and relaxing! Its walking distance from the train station so very convenient to get to. Would definitely stay here again.

Right on the Royal Mile where all the old buildings, cafes, shops, diners, and castles are. 10 min downhill walk to the Edinburgh Waverly station. Excellent buffet breakfast and I recommend buying that with your hotel booking if you have that option. Confortable beds amd pillows. Bath shower could have an extendable screen as water can spill out. Overall, I'd steongly recommend this hotel during your stay at Edinburgh.
