Good but storage needed

A good stay- we find apartments easier than hotels when travelling as a family as it gives us more space. Good quiet location just under 30 min walk from town. Kitchen was well equipped and TVs easy to stream to. We didn't appreciate the 6am fire alarm on our 1st morning after a long day of travelling. The main thing that might stop us returning is the lack of storage. The main bedroom had no wardrobe, shelves or drawers , no storage at all. There was a chest of drawers in the utility cupboard across the corridor from our bedroom which we used but wasn't very practical. It was also behind a fire door which slammed heavily on you. Not great for young children. We then had to hang clothes in the 2nd smaller bedroom which had a small wardrobe. Probably not practical if travelling with a group of adults. Corridors were quite tight so tricky with larger luggage, especially when the cleaning cart was out. Everyone was polite and everything clean - just needs a few more practical features

The property is just an easy 20 min walk away from the Grassmarket/Royal Mile area with a supermarket and multiple food outlets close by. Cannot fault the very well maintained and tidy apartments - they were better than we expected them to be! We booked to stay for 8 nights. We had issues with wi-fi connectivity in our room on the first night and were offered another apartment in the same building. It was however lacking any natural light which we had in the first apartment. As the property was full for the weekend, we stayed in the apt without wifi and we were offered a bigger apartment without the wi-fi issue once it was available to make up for the inconvenience. This was a lovely gesture on the part of the team. Special shout out to the GM Simon who was very professional in dealing with our issue and also to Sam from the maintenance team who was lovely to interact with. Overall it was a great experience and we would highly recommend! Will also stay here again. The only comment for improvement we'd make was that a couple of of the front of house staff were not entirely pleasant to engage with. They were totally fine when we didn't have any issues but we weren't too impressed with how they dealt with our wi-fi issue. Mainly the tone and manner in which they spoke, and engaged with us after, while not terrible, was enough to mar the overall experience for a customer.

Comfort and location

Thanks to Duncan for the friendly check in. Our room was very well equipped and quiet. We didn't have a car during our stay, so it was great having the bus stop just around the corner. It was about a 10 minute walk to Haymarket railway station.

Premier Suites is walking distance to almost everywhere including Deans Villiage, Haymarket, Grassmarket, the Castle and the Royal Mile. Mind you, we like to walk but did Uner a few times with luggage. The beds are really comfortable, the whole apartment for 4 ppl was wonderful. It was mostly quiet and felt safe no matter the time. Best breakfast place around the corner at Honeycomb Tearoom. Grocery nearby. Dining/shops can close early though so check the hours for the days your there. Staff were great and everything was easy. Nice to have space and be out of the hussle of the Mile area but close enough to be back in it all in 10 minutes. Also had laundry which was great after our 3 day Skye tour. Had some kitchen facilities with free waters in the fridge. I would stay again and recommend it.

Great property with great communication about parking, facilities and a run down of the property. Property new and modern with excellent room to move. Only criticism is the walls are getting dirty and marked, they need a good clean.

Lovely modern style apartment in Old Town. Best of both worlds. Appliances worked well with clear instructions. Staff were super helpful. A small Tesco is nearby to get essentials. We walked to it from Waverley with our luggage. I recommend taking a taxi. Bus stops are nearby, as is the hop on, hop off if you want to tour around. Beautiful time to visit Edinburgh in May!
