Great location near a tram stop with superb restaurants on the door stop. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms as a family and both were very comfortable and clean. Some areas are a little tired and could do with some updating. We had breakfast each day and there was plenty of choice and it was all very good.

What a lovely hotel! We were upgraded on arrival to a suite as we were celebrating a special occasion, which was a real treat. On-site parking, luxurious bathroom and toiletries, very comfortable bed and welcoming staff. Only small hiccup for us was the lift to the older part of the hotel, where our suite was, was being upgraded during our stay and there was no other route but the stairs, but even three flights couldn't take the tarnish off this star of a hotel Highly recommend.

Spent one night and can't fault a thing. One suggestion would be to add coat hooks. Hanging wet coats in a wardrobe isn’t great.

When we arrived, 1 hour after check in, our room was not ready, so we decided to have a drink in the bar - I would have expected the drink to be complimentary because of our room not being ready. The room was nice - the cleanliness not 5 star! Needs much more attention around the taps in the bathroom, they all needed a good scrub, which was definitely more than just one stay worth of scummy residue. The room was warm, even though heating as off, but maybe that’s just a personal thing. Breakfast was lukewarm & poached eggs were hard, also beans had more juice than actual beans. This was a last minute booking but still expected more from Malmaison.

We had a wonderful experience. The room was very nice. The staff was friendly. The location was convenient to transportation. Great food options close by. Relaxing location. The lift for our side of the hotel was under maintenance- that was a little challenging. We would come back.

The hotel was well positioned for us to visit Edinburgh, tram line very close by. Lots of restaurants nearby too. The room was ok but was in need of some general maintenance/housekeeping to bring it up to the standard you expect of a Malmaison. Staff always very professional and friendly.

I’ve seen a steady decline with this hotel chain over the past 4-5 years. Truthfully think I’m done with it. Noisy room - no where to move to as hotel at full capacity.

We have stayed here previously on a couple of occasions and were disappointed this time around. For the standard and charge for the hotel there isn’t even water in the rooms anymore. Sadly level of service expected from Malmaison is just not being delivered here. It is in a great location in Leith with lots of lovely bars and restaurants around about.

Overnight stay
Had a lovely overnight stay in Leith, given a room upgrade, room was lovely but unfortunately it was noisy due to some type of fan or extractor within walls and ceiling above bed which led to not very much sleep, but couldn’t fault anything else.

Wasnt good, i was advised to use the new restaurant for tea, ive been spewing up since 1 oclock this morning, booked out as soon as possible, 2 and a half hour journey turned into 4 and a half hours of being sick, lost a days work due to it.
