Fantastic Stay at Cheval Old Town Chambers Cheval Old Town Chambers exceeded all expectations! The apartment was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Edinburgh, yet quiet and private. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. A perfect blend of luxury and comfort—I would definitely stay here again!

Overall a wonderful stay! Helpful staff and great food. The only downside was the rattling from the air con vent in room 501. Even with the air con off the vent rattled constantly right outside the snug bedroom. It made getting to sleep tricky.

The best stay

This was such a pleasant surprise - we were absolutely blown away by the service and the standard at the Old Chambers. We were given a room upgrade to an alcove room and it was a beautifully presented, spacious room with an additional bed which was helpful. The space was thoughtfully planned out and the bathroom was top standard. It had everything we could need in the kitchen and there were plenty of cutlery and crockery items for our needs. Best of all was the incredibly thoughtful, friendly service. Everyone we encountered seemed to genuinely take pride in their job and it really came through in their manner. Thank you to you all.

Amazing property - we stayed at the One Bed apartment with bed alcove - the property was very stylish and modern and tasteful decor, very spacious apartment with high end spec. Lobby, bar and restaurant areas were beautiful. High quality service from the staff from the front of the house, restaurant and bar. Location is superb and right in the centre of the old town so easily walkable to all main attractions so would definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfect for a short break

Great hotel with spacious rooms in a perfect location. Staff are also excellent. Make sure you pre book a table for breakfast as we didn’t in the first morning and had to wait 15 mins.

We had a brilliant stay at the Cheval! Beautiful building, the apartment was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. Lovely decor throughout. The bed was very comfy, we had a great nights sleep. Staff polite and helpful. Excellent location. Would high recommend!

Best location in Edinburgh!

Best location in Edinburgh! Without doubt! You’re literally sitting in the heart of the Royal Mile! The entrance is right across the street from Giles Cathedral, and the hotel is sitting on top of Mary King’s Close! Another nice feature, is that the road in front of the entrance is for drop-off and pedestrians only, which makes dropping off luggage via car / taxi a breeze! Parking is a few blocks away, not a bad walk at all to drop the car. The spacious apartment-style rooms are amazing as well! The service was wonderful and the receptionists were super helpful, really cannot complain! 10/10
