Conveniently located in Dunfermaline close to all facilities. Parking at the rear of the hotel was a big bonus. All of the hotel staff were so genuinely friendly. There was a full choice for breakfast. The full Scottish being a good choice to start the day. The room was spacious with a good choice of tea and coffee. Overall would highly recommend this hotel
We were called at 2 45pm on check-in day to advise that there had been a maintenance issue and was it acceptable to cancel booking and refund me i said this was not acceptable as i had driven 6.5 hours and expected the room i had booked. After me calling back after 20 mins they advised me they had a room for me. It was up in the gods, i had avoid a bulkhead to get in/ out of bed, the room and ensuite needed a revamp also there were flies in the room that i had to dispose of. I am going to raise a complaint with the hotel today an request a refund
The room was a generous size, very clean and serviced each day. The hotel is very central, close to the bus station and walking distance to the railway station. The breakfast was very good and served freshly cooked
Friendly staff. Room nice. Food ok. far too hot in corridor leading to bedrooms .waste of energy. Reasonable price . Perfect location. Would stay again for short trip
The City Hotel is not the place to stay if you want a quiet nights sleep at the weekend, but we knew the bar is busy and the karaoke is on a Saturday. Room too hot and couldn’t open the window because of the noise. Other than that, the City Hotel is a great place to stay. Lovely room, great bar and friendly staff
Good central location with a car-park (public) at the rear. My room was basic but cheap, staff were all very friendly. Good choice for breakfast. It was a bit noisy with traffic and seagulls in the morning but the hotel can't help that. I would recommend.
Room tiny hot grubby noisy. Carpet stained woren. Not allowed to take food into room. Breakfast for guests over by 9am. As public use restraunt after this time. Hotel should not have karaoke. Nothing good about hotel AVOID.
