We are loyal IHG travelers. This property did not meet the standards of most IHG. Carpet in room stained. Thick layer of dust at carpet edge by baseboards. Elevator carpet badly stained. Rooms are a bit outdated and desperately need new flooring and facelift.

Had a wedding in Dubuque. Arrived at the hotel at 2:20 to see if our room was available and it was not. We had made reservations 5 months before. Multiple people from our party were already checked in.1 individual had called the night before to get a room and was given 1 and checked in already. Came back at 4:30 after the wedding and room was still not ready. Shortly after that we checked in and went to the room and housekeeping was still cleaning it. They were pleasant and efficient trying hard to get the room cleaned. We travel frequently and were disappointed about the delays. Other than that the breakfast was good and the room was fine.

The hotel staff was amazing- friendly,efficient, and knowledgeable about the area and its amenities. Our only issue was the condition of the room we were in. The window curtains were stained badly and torn. The window sill itself was filthy with debris. The rest of the room, and bathroom were spotless, so you could tell the staff was meticulous about cleaning. The breakfast was delicious, and the lady working there was as sweet as you could ask for. Both employees working the check-in desk were entertaining- you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. My husband said on the second day, the hot tub was filthy and lukewarm. My brother-in-law refused to get in it. Again, the staff was wonderful, but you made need a refresh on the facility. ur only issue was the condition of the room
