Hotel room was very spacious, clean and updated. Tram and bus stops in front of hotel. Plenty of restaurants and shopping facilities in walking distance. Will definitely stay there, if in Dublin again.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff, every staff member we spoke to were helpful and above all extremely friendly. Our room was spotless, comfortable bed and lovely big walk- in shower in the bathroom. If I was to be picky it could have done with a long mirror and better lighting for doing my hair and makeup. Breakfast was superb and we were offered a takeout breakfast the day we left as we were leaving at 5am. We will definitely stay here again.

Having never been to Dublin before, we carefully considered where to stay. We couldn’t have made a better choice than the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin. Location, location, location! The Gresham sits on bustling O'Connell Street, just a hundred yards from the Spire of Dublin and the lively shopping area of Henry Street. Even better, the Aircoach bus from Dublin Airport stops right in front of the hotel, making it convenient (10 euros per person from the airport). Restaurants and pubs are plentiful in the area. From our hotel, we enjoyed a pleasant 20-minute walk across the River Liffey to the National Gallery and the Wilde House, with plenty of shops to browse along the way. The Gresham is a fully restored neoclassical hotel with an elegant interior that feels brand new. At reception, we were warmly greeted by Sophie, whose friendliness and helpfulness made a memorable impression. Our room, a deluxe superior twin, was exceptionally spacious with a large, beautifully tiled shower. I’d rate it an A-plus! We opted for the breakfast package, and it was worth it—the buffet, served in one of the two main-level restaurants, rivaled a five-star experience. I’m surprised the Gresham isn’t rated five stars! For those interested, there’s also a fully equipped fitness room on the lower level.

The hotel is conveniently located near the centre of Dublin. Our room was comfortable and clean. However, after an 8-hour overnight flight from Canada we were looking forward to freshen up with a shower, Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the bathroom. We reported this to management right away and each of the four days of our stay. We were told that maintenance staff checked the problem but it was never resolved. When we checked out we spoke to the hotel manager about this. He said there was nothing he could do (really???) and suggested we submit a formal complaint to their head office - which we did. We heard back from the head office 10 days later. They apologized profusely for the situation but then proceeded to essentially call us liars by saying the hotel maintenance reported checking the hot water in our room but found no problem. We will never stay at another Riu property and cannot recommend them.

Perfect location for Central Dublin. Modernised and a lot of the old Gresham charm gone. Clean, quiet room with plenty of space. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Expensive but so is Dublin. Would stary again.
