Properly is awesome, front desk staff gave mixed answers, wanted a car seat for child and was told its first come will get it, when i was ready for it i was told its only for taxis to use and cant have it.. and ahead of booking we messaged and they said if needed they will accommodate... so not sure why all the different answers but wasnt happy about that

Dear RIU Dubai Customer Service Team, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel Feb 5-14th. I had emailed customer service several times before our arrival to explain that this was our first trip to Dubai and a special one, as it was my husband’s 50th birthday and has been his dream to come to Dubai. I chose your hotel because I expected a high standard of service from such a well-known chain. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. Upon arrival, we were not greeted by anyone, and our driver simply dropped off our bags thinking someone was going to come meet as at the door. We then brought our bags after 16 hour flight and over 24 hour of travel into the lobby ourselves, with no assistance offered to us in terms of getting to our room. Am not letting you know this for any reason but to perhaps make you understand this might need improvement, a little assistance and a cold drink while checking in goes a long way. This was a disappointing start to what was supposed to be a special occasion. While the room itself is nice, we were dismayed to find that it faces a construction zone. While I understand that some guests may not mind, it was certainly not ideal for such an important celebration. Shower was not hot in the mornings, nights too hot. Pool was cold, hot tub were just warm at best. Bed and pillow was super uncomfortable like sleeping on the floor. Would not recommend.

The pool and beach hours should close at 7pm not 6pm it’s too early, if not everything else was perfect i miss being in dubai. We will for sure comme back we loved our stay at your hotel

Hotel was logically built for families, staff also friendly and helpful. Our two best activity during the day was the waterpark and the minidisco. Amazing food always a lot from choose even for kids. Max. 20 minutes by taxi from Dubai Airport.

I’ve stayed at many Riu and this one did not meet expectations of others when it came to drinks and entertainment. Alcoholic drinks were very limited, and no music or dancing, exercising by the pool during the day like others. Staff do not interact with you like other RIu. However food was great, different restaurants great, rooms clean and nice and overall would come again. People should know that this hotel is not close to anything and must taxi to everywhere. There are plenty of city taxi waiting out side hotel and they are not expensive.

Our family of 11 traveled from different countries to celebrate my mom’s birthday at Riu Hotel Dubai, but this turned into one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. One night, five of us were in our room, chatting and possibly a little loud for about 15 minutes. Instead of politely asking us to lower the volume, a security guard aggressively threatened to call the police if we didn’t quiet down. We were shocked by this hostility. When the police arrived, the security guard completely twisted the story, falsely claiming we told him, “F*ck you.” This was a blatant lie! Three people were standing beside me and heard everything. We insisted the police check the lobby cameras. On top of this, the food and drinks were terrible, and we felt sick daily, experiencing nausea and stomach discomfort. My husband developed a rash on his face, and now that we’re back in New York, we are seeing a doctor to find out the cause. We have traveled the world and stayed in many hotels, but we have never experienced such awful service. Staff should resolve issues professionally and politely, not intimidate guests. Avoid this hotel at all costs!
