A lovely, quirky hotel in a beautiful position overlooking West Bexington Beach. The staff are really warm and welcoming, the room clean and the bed lovely and comfortable, and the food is amazing.
Location is beautiful and the accomodation was full of character. Food was lovely, we had a selection of starters for dinner and breakfast in the morning (broccoli with breakfast was an interesting touch). The only real issues with the room were that it felt quite small being up in the eaves, wouldn't have managed 2 nights in the small space. There was a seaview, beautiful, but had to stand and look through a small window to see the views. The shower head really needed a very good clean, it was black! Some attention needed in places but otherwise a pleasant stay.
Stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much.
Hotel dates back to the 16th Century and therfore has no lift so if infirm or have mobility issues beware, some steps are quite step.
Room was clean, loads of storage and had wonderful sea views all round. Free tea ,coffee and water were a plus.
Breakfast had a wonderful selection and the full English was fantastic.
Service was quick, fuss free and friendly throughout our stay.
Large free car park .
Set in a small hamlet with no shops or facilities as such so don't expect Blackpool! . Peace and quiet the order of the day (and night). great as a base to explore the surrounding area, beaches and towns. A car is a must because of the distances and hills.
Good road access to all of Dorset.
Highly recommended.
Lovely old quiet country hotel with beautiful gardens and views. Very short staffed on arrival but all friendly & helpful. Comfy room & beds, crisp sheets. Beds made up each day. Bottled water, towels, shower gel/shampoo, hairdryer all supplied. Fabulous shower. Tea/coffee in room too. Only thing missing were some coasters. (Dont like putting hot mugs directly on furniture.) The carpet had seen better days, but all in all a lovely room. Delicious choice of breakfasts & evening meals beautifully cooked. The perfect relaxing seaside break we needed. Would definitely stay again 👍.

This hotel is situated in the idyllic village of West Bexington up from Chesil Beach and a great restaurant (The Club House). It was great value for money. The breakfast was particularly good and the location fantastic.
We booked without much research at the last minute for a one night stay.
Welcomed on arrival by Jordan, who later served us at the bar, in the restaurant and at breakfast. He has just the right mix of great customer focus with informality and a sense of humour (Yorkshire tea is DEFINITELY not the best in the world!).
The building is old, so is bound to have a few quirky elements, but our room had a very comfortable bed and a powerful shower and even a painted bathroom floor. The view from our room (and pretty much everywhere else) was great, across the fields to the sea.
Had dinner in the conservatory and enjoyed it, especially the cod recommended by Jordan.
Would definitely return, and hope to do so.

Excellent Stay - tiny bedroom
An amazing location with beautiful grounds and stunning views. Quiet and tranquil. The staff were all good and couldn't do enough to help. Food both dinner and breakfast were of excellent quality and extremely tasty.
The property itself was clean, quirky, old world and in a reasonable condition, some of the decor tired looking.
Only small gripe was the bedroom was tiny, as was the en-suite, think mobile holiday home size! Fine, if you literally just want a bed to sleep in.The bed however was extremely comfortable. Had we been staying longer, we would have asked for a bigger room.
All you needed for a peaceful overnight stay in a rural Chesil Beach village. Plenty of outside seating and wonderful open views. The Manor House has character in spades. The staff have to do a good job keeping housekeeping, bar and restaurant running smoothly. Our room was small but in keeping with the nature of the building. Restaurant food was excellent although service was pushed given the full capacity generated by a bank holiday weekend with excellent weather.
All these good reviews!! They have obviously not stayed in room 10. It was not shabby chic it was just shabby and dirty. The toilet had pee and poo stains under the lid, I asked if a member of staff could come and clean it and they did. The shower cubicle had black mould everywhere, which could have been cleaned and I don’t think the shower head has ever been cleaned!! There were stains on the walls, table and carpet. I had to clean the teaspoons as they were dirty. If I hadn’t already paid in full for the 2 nights through Hotels.com I would not have stayed. If I could have moved rooms I would but they were apparently full. The only good thing about the room was the bed, the bed linen was clean and it was comfortable.
The food was good and tasty and the staff were polite and helpful.
It spoilt the end of my holiday.

Lovely location.really nice and friendly staff,
Beautiful view of Chesil Beach.
Very peaceful.
Building itself is exquisite, felt special staying in such a place, check in was very easy and gent helped with automatically with my case - however, breakfast was chaotic, the two people serving and taking orders was dire, no communication between them and some of the orders were coming out incorrect, i waited for quite a while until i was served, the female server actually contradicted the guest seated next to me as to what she had actually ordered! Very special place let down by breakfast service. Great shame.
Property built in 16th century, has alot of character and uniqueness. Short walk to beach, excellent staff, onsite food adventures, near top attractions like Charmouth fossil beach. Slight peeling of ceiling paint, did not deter us, really enjoyed property and met new friends from UK.

Peaceful location
Nice little place to stay in a great location that was quiet and only 5 minute walk to the beach. For me and my partner it was a good one night stay. They are also pet friendly which is a bonus as I find it hard to find dog friendly places and the staff are friendly and polite.
Cons: I found the food to be quite expensive and the inner doors that lead you up to the rooms bang every time someone opens the door which can disturb others in their room. The food service could have been better. For example, the young lady asked us if we wanted any water for the table and she never came back. Me and my partner decided to have the roast dinner and it tasted great, the only thing was we were missing the stuffing.
At breakfast the next morning we decided to have the full English breakfast and it was supposed to come with toast. I wasn’t fussed about the toast but my partner had to ask for it but it should have been served straight away with the rest of the breakfast. I was left a bit disappointed when I asked for a croissant and was told there wasn’t any left. It would be great from a customers point of view that the hotel made sure there was enough for at least one per person.
Other than that me and my partner and the dog enjoyed our stay and I would go back again.

The manager was efficient and nice , breakfast was lovely
Fourth time staying here . Wonderful location just up from the beach. Stunning views and a lovely old building steeped in history as well as a really delicious English breakfast made freshly using the best ingredients.. I will be back again for sure
Lovely experience, been to west bexington a few times but never stayed but now i have i wouldnt stay anywhere else. Lovely staff nice breakfast and a nice comfortable bar to unwind in the evening. As we were there for a fishing trip was ideal for access to the beach and so peaceful at night so a good sleep was great.
Lovely, quaint hotel with extremely good service levels and fab food. Located in a fantastic sea view location with nice indoor or outdoor seating. Would highly recommend.
The hotel was amazing. The views, the rooms and the food (extra helpings were had).
And the staff actively went out of their way to cater to our every need.
