For solitude by the sea this is the hotel to book. Good food, friendly staff. (Be careful if you need easy access - lots of steps)

Excellent hotel,top marks.

Lovely hotel,and Millie and Jordan where brilliant.Evening meal was excellent and also the breakfast.Only little fault was no hairdryer in the room

Grest place to stay

We were celebrating our Ruby anniversary. The hotel was lovely and we were greeted warmly. The room was spot on and we opted for one with a sea view. The room was large with a very comfy bed. The bathroom had a very big shower which was nice. The towels were lovely and soft. The food was excellent. We had a meal in the conservatory in the evening. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. We would stay there again.

Lovely location, old building you have to make allowances for. This is our third visit, however this time there was no hairdryer in room, service was a bit confusing by some members of staff. However Millie was an excellent host.

Comfortable and friendly

We have stayed here before so no real surprises. Still the same lovely view. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the first day was a bit disappointing as the bacon was dry (kept warm). Second morning was a great improvement. Comfortable room apart from a temporary heating failure , quickly resolved.

Just a quick one night break but we had a great time - our room was large with a lovely sea view and a very comfortable bed. A very short walk to the beach for a stunning sunset. There was an issue with the gas supply so the menu was limited but all the food we had for dinner and breakfast was excellent and the cellar bar with log-burner really cosy (Inches cider on draft). Fresh milk in a fridge on the landing was a great idea for making nice tea! The manager Millie was fantastic dealing with the issues and we are already planning to return later in the year when we can sit out on the garden terrace to enjoy the views!

Excellent hotel , good evening meal. Great friendly Nice location , only issue for me was 8-30 is too late for a business stay breakfast. Credit to you they did do it slightly earlier for me thank you.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The location is great, easy to find, plenty of parking and very close to sea front in a quiet a picturesque setting. Our Room was lovely, very comfortable bed, everything else you need and a stunnung sea view. Food was very nice, high quality breakfast and staff were friendly, attentive and couldnt do more for you which creates a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend and im sure we'll be back when next in the area.

Lovely hotel. We had a great nights sleep. The service was a bit hit and miss on the night of our visit and they seemed a little unorganised. The food was lovely though. The bathroom was a little tired with black mold. Hard to access the bar area through the hotel as the stairs down are not the best if your mobility is not perfect.
