Boutique hotel on the edge of the market. Can’t beat the location. Rooms were spacious and bed comfortable. Only one night on a layover but well located for a longer stay. Recommended.

I fell in love with Doha and it is largely due to the welcome I received at this property. They reassured me that I was safe walking the streets as a solo female traveler. I loved that I could dine at any of their hotel restaurants on my half board plan. And they picked me up in the golf cart whenever I lost my way. I felt like I had an authentic experience staying at the Al Jasra Boutique Hotel. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat‼️♥️

Nice base for exploring Doha

The hotel is part of a collection of several properties all part of the same group, Souk Waqif Tivoli. We booked a room for 3, but had to change hotels when our initial room was too small. The hotel was clean, and luxurious. The staff were very friendly. There didn’t seem to be a regular front desk attendant and the security guard had to call the up every time we needed something which was a little inconvenient. The location was excellent, right at the entrance of the souk where there were many dining and shopping opportunities.

Soul Waqif is best area for traditional culture and walk-ability — charm, for short. A longish walk to main museums but good exercise. The new city requires a car to visit, as of course do sites outside of Doha. No alcohol in Souk Waqif and indeed only available in a few hotels elsewhere. Spend the money for a tour of new city and desert outside - there’s not much in the desert unless you like dune-basing and that sort of thing. Difficult to rent bicycles - but you can get a Lime or other scooter. A good place to learn how to scooter as the Corniche is almost deserted mostly.

Lobby service is not friendly, one day in the morning we were without water service in our room, and the hotel took more than 2 hours to solve the situation. The room is so spacious and comfortable, the cleaning of the room was so good

I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel next to the metro station exit. Lovely old fashioned building. Friendly staff and very clean. Had dinner in their restaurant one night and was lovely sitting outside watchinf the souq go by. The gymn had some tired looking equipment but not a big problem. The pool is unheated and is a little chilly but very refreshing and I had it to myself. Very handy for the souq and to get on the metro. And there's a taxi rank at the opposite end of the souq.

Location location. You step out and enjoy a large friendly crowd, strolling among shops and restaurants. You can see horses and camel nearby, falcon market, bird shops and many places to eat.
