The Chateau is amazing, you can see a lot of work has gone into lovingly restoring it. The staff are friendly and the grounds are stunning.
The room we had was very generous in size in one of the round turrets, tastefully decorated with a super comfortable bed and a huge TV. There were just a few little attentions to details and the room would be of a high standard. Saying this, I would still highly recommend staying there, especially for the price for a room.
Plenty of space for free onsite parking where the big wooden entry doors are closed at night which is a plus.
We didn't have time to visit the Spa which is a shame, but if we return, we will definitely book some time there.
Our only negative point would be, after an 9 hour drive from Spain with a further 9 hour drive to the UK the following day, we were extremely tired and hungry. We didn't realise we needed to book a table at the Chateau restaurant and it was fully booked. We were not offered anything to eat at the Chateau or any room service. We were recommended one of the only local restaurants open, Les Benjamins, about 10 mins drive, the last thing we wanted to do was get back in a car and drive again. However, the food made up for it at Les Benjamins as it was of a high standard and super tasty.
I would recommend that food options should be available for all guests at the Chateau, even if not in the restaurant. And if visiting, make sure you book a table before you arrive.
