Nice quiet building! Easy check in instructions from Sonder, worked flawlessly. Unit was nice and clean. Only complaint was there's not really enough bedding, towels, and pillows for 6 people and the hide-a-bed was really uncomfortable. If I were staying with 4 or less, I'd have no complaints.

If you stay her make sure to ask to get a high floor. We stayed on the 2nd floor Wednesday thru Friday and their was alot of noise from car traffic and alot of people passing by. Also, the shades on the bedroom windows were pretty terrible. The front bedroom is not dark at all. The bed was also not great. Cheap linens and the mattress is low and very firm. Our 2nd bedroom is windowless so it was pitch dark but everytime someone in the building would flush a toilet or shower, the sound in the pipes was extreme. It sounded like the ceiling was about to cave in. The bathroom was oddly shapoed with a tiny shower stall and no shelves to out any toiletries. The rest of the apartment could use a refresh. The carpet looked old and dirty and coukd use a deep cleaning a paint maybe. However, the location is convenient, the parking was easy, tho expensive and the employee at the front desk was very nice. We spent most of our stay OUT, so it was Ok but probably wouldn't book there again.

Sonder is a different kind of stay. In Detroit, this is an entire apartment building owned by Sonder - some are long-term tenants, some are overnight guests. For a short stay, we missed some of the perks of the hotel, like breakfast and a pool, but the extra space and kitchen are great perks for a longer stay. Everything was clean, front desk were nice, and it was pretty comfy, but not posh-comfy. Would do it again.

The building code is a bit difficult as it's noisy outside and you can't always hear the beeps additionally the bathroom was challengingly small

The room was nice but the shower is so small and unless you’re 5 foot and 100 pounds there is not enough room in there. The water pressure was terrible so showering took forever. You are supposed to get your own towels, wash clothes from their linen closet which I thought was great except there were never wash clothes available. It’s in a great location, comfortable bed and keyless entry. You have to use a code to get in the building and your room but it wasn’t provided via email and you either have to download the app or call. Downloading the app is fine but would have appreciated an email or text stating that.

I still can’t believe this room cost less than some of the crappy motels in the area. I had a studio apartment that was spacious and bright and had a view of the city. I didn’t want to leave my room. Check-in through the app is easy and customer service responded quickly when I chatted them. I’ll definitely check out Sonder when booking my next hotel.

I felt extremely safe here, and it was more than comfortable with all the amenities needed. The room was pretty dirty, with a 7up can and a pacifier under the bed, as well as plenty of dirty dishes. No big deal, something I can clean up, but still. Overall 8/10 stay.

A lovely clean apartment with lots of facilities, although the shower was a bit hit and miss. The room is lovely in an aging building, but is easy to get to local transport and local tourist sites such as the baseball stadium.

Very good value. The room was great. Very big spacious studio. The surrounding block or 2 is kinda empty other than bus stops which can be annoying if you're very nose sensitive, but walkable to a lot of stuff within 5-10 blocks. Room has lots of big windows with shades but not blackout if you're very light sensitive. The building and elevators / lobby are definitely older and a little beaten down, but the room itself was super clean and modern. Ultimately very hard to find anything at a better price in this location.

Spent a week in this really nice studio apartment type room. Was as nice as portrayed in the pictures. In a nice walkable area of downtown Detroit. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Code sign-in was different but worked great.
