STAY AWAY HOTELS.COM
DO NOT use HOTELS.COM. We have been using them for YEARS and had a few issues we were willing to look over. But this is the last straw. We booked (2) rooms back in October for a December stay. Realized in November we wouldn't need them and canceled. Just went into the bank account and they charged us for the rooms. It took forever to connect to customer service only to be told they had no record of cancelation. We were never sent an email, so they won't provide a refund. If you do use them, be sure to keep your receipts. We had a similar issue years ago trying to get a refund on a very dirty, scary looking room we had reserved. Stained carpet, broken lock, broken mirror, missing lamp shade and even with pictures we had to fight the hotel for a refund with no help from HOTELS.COM. Just book directly with the hotels. Its well worth the extra $10-20.

Was a great one night stay to visit family. Was a bit garish that the lobby and dining ares on the main floor had seemingly removed all the lap shades and were exposed super bright harsh white lightbulbs. It really detracted from what was expected.

The room seemed old and outdated. The ceiling had stains and parts peeling off. There were smudges on the wall, in order to get the door closed you had to slam it as hard as you can. Two machines at the gym were broken. The staff was friendly and courteous.

Attack of the hockey teams
Everything was really nice except there were 6-youth hockey teams there and they ran a melee up and down the hallways and lobby. Parents were loud in the commons area till 2 am. After that night the hotel did put up quiet time at 10 signs all around. It just helped a little.
