We went during the Holidays and The Kingsley was beautifully decorated, Christmas music was playing; very festive. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. Rooms extremely clean and smelled nice. Beds extremely comfortable - slept like a rock. My only thumbs down moment was the "selfie" kiosk and it appeared to be working, took some great photos but it then said it couldn't download.

This is a decent hotel in a good location. The rooms are tired. The parking lot is muddy and could be improved. The lobby bar is very nice and the two restaurants are excellent. I think they could do a refresh on the rooms for sure and the in room products like shampoo etc need an update. Towels too could be nicer. Decent hotel for the price.

1. Stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. The door leading to the lobby form the parking lot was locked. Had to walk all around the property toward the lobby in the frigid cold 2. Couldn’t upgrade the room because they were sold out. Understandable. When asked about having an extra quilt or duvet was told they were also sold out. What kind of hotel sell out of these? Someone dropped a duvet to the room WITHOUT A COVER. 3. The bathroom door was scratched. 4. Water pressure of the shower was non existing. 5. The room smelled stale and old. Carpet was disgusting. Very disappointed in this stay it was not worth the $250 USD.

This hotel has a very beautiful layout, from the lobby, lower lobby and bar/lounge. I’ve stayed multiple times over the years. The staff is very kind and this hotel is a great way to enjoy a staycation with Birmingham shops and restaurants nearby.
